NCT's Doyoung is exerting a good influence as a life ambassador for the 'Destiny Guardian Project,' delivering warm encouragement. The Korea Foundation for Life Respect and Hope (Chairman: Jeong Yoon-seung) revealed that Doyoung donated 100 million won (about 1 million dollars) to support military personnel at risk of suicide and children and youth of families who have lost loved ones to suicide. The 'Destiny Guardian Project,' in which Doyoung participates as a life ambassador, is a national suicide prevention initiative aiming to reduce suicide deaths by 1,000 by 2026. This donation was realized through Doyoung's warm intention to support the mental health recovery of military personnel protecting the country and children and youth who bear the pain of sudden loss, helping them overcome crises. The foundation plans to actively reflect the donor's intentions, subdividing support targets and preparing effective support measures in consultation with related agencies. Doyoung stated, 'Among the words I often convey to fans is, 'Tomorrow will surely be happier than today.' There are days when one day feels a bit heavy and painful, but I believe that ultimately, tomorrow will move in a warmer and happier direction than today.' He expressed his heartfelt encouragement, saying, 'I would be happy if my support reached through this donation. I hope everyone can find the strength to be courageous.' In response, Chairman Jeong Yoon-seung emphasized that protecting the mental health of military personnel and children and youth of families is at the core of building a social suicide prevention safety net, expressing gratitude that 'Doyoung's warm heart will become an important 'bridge of life' connecting people who have fallen into despair back to society.' He continued, 'The foundation will also fulfill its responsibilities to ensure that the donation becomes substantial help to those who need it most.' Doyoung enlisted in the army as an active duty soldier on December 8 last year.
