*This article contains content related to the story of the drama. Yuna from Girls' Generation time-traveled to the past and angered King Lee Che-min. In the first episode of tvN's weekend drama 'The Tyrant's Chef', which premiered in Korea on the 23rd, Yong Ji-yong (Yuna) was appointed as the assistant to the court chef Lee Hong (Lee Che-min). Lee Hong appointed Ji-yong, who was bound as a criminal, as the assistant to the court chef and cut her ropes with a sword. Ji-yong thought he intended to kill her in the end and whispered to herself to somehow survive, lamenting that she had become the chef of a tyrant from a Michelin three-star chef. Next, the situation before Ji-yong time-traveled to the past was depicted. She made venison dishes favored by people in the Joseon era and won first place in a French cooking show, while on her way back home, she carried an ancient book from the Joseon era at her father's request. Then, while watching a solar eclipse on the plane, the person next to her spilled coffee on the ancient book, and Ji-yong wiped the stain off in the bathroom. The ancient book contained recipes and a note saying, 'If you, my beloved, ever read this, I hope you return to my side.' Ji-yong read the book and exclaimed, 'What is this? A romance from the Joseon era,' and suddenly time-traveled to the Joseon era. She got caught in a net at a hunting ground where Lee Hong was hunting. Despite warnings that he would incur the wrath of heaven and that a ghost woman would appear if he did not perform traditional rituals, Lee Hong insisted on hunting and got separated from his companions. Mistaking Ji-yong, who was caught in the net, for a ghost woman, he chased after her. Ji-yong confronted Lee Hong with a stun gun, but he was suddenly shot by an arrow and fell off a cliff with Ji-yong. Ji-yong accidentally stopped Lee Hong's bleeding but thought he was a pitiful person claiming to be a king. If Lee Hong did not return to the palace, the court lady Kang Mok-joo (Kang Hanna) hurriedly informed Grand Prince Jesang (Choi Gwi-hwa). Mok-joo, who was originally a gisaeng (Joseon era courtesan) and had committed murder, had become Jesang's person and was waiting for the right time. While moving with Lee Hong bound, Ji-yong found a house and met Seo Gil-gum (Yoon So-ah). Since Ji-yong and Lee Hong were both wearing hanbok, she thought it was a movie or drama set, and with Gil-gum's help, she made bibimbap with vegetables she picked herself and barley rice. Ji-yong added gochujang and butter from her pocket, creating a unique bibimbap. Lee Hong and Gil-gum, who tasted gochujang for the first time, suffered from the spiciness but were soon captivated by the flavor. While conversing with Gil-gum, Ji-yong began to doubt whether she had truly time-traveled to the Joseon era. She left Lee Hong, who was sleeping, bound and went to search for her lost bag and phone at the cliff with Gil-gum's help. Meanwhile, Lee Hong met people who came to see him and ordered, 'There is a traitor nearby who insulted me. Find them.' Ji-yong, unaware that she had become a traitor, shouted 'Here!' to seek help when people appeared, falling into a crisis.
