On Thursday, October 22, 2026, Ralph Lauren held an opening reception ahead of the three-day event “PoloFest,” which brought together vintage Polo collectors, brand enthusiasts, and leaders from the cultural world to celebrate the brand’s enduring bond with its passionate fan community around the world. The reception was attended by domestic and international celebrities closely connected to the brand, including Conan Gray, André 3000, Janelle Monáe, Tyson Beckford, Sana of TWICE, Mark, formerly of NCT, and Rebecca Patricia Armstrong, who celebrated the start of this festival. For Ralph Lauren, which will mark its 50th year in Japan in 2026 and its 60th anniversary in 2027, “PoloFest” is the first global initiative in a series of events celebrating the brand’s long-standing influence on style, culture, and lifestyle. Since its birth in 1967, Polo has gone beyond being merely a collection and has built a unique worldview and lifestyle that gives people dreams, encourages them to participate in its world, and supports them in living as themselves. “PoloFest” is inspired by this unique emotional bond. Through culture, community, collection, and dialogue, “PoloFest” explores Polo’s lasting influence while also creating new opportunities to connect, discover, and celebrate through shared experiences and a vintage market. Tokyo, which opens the global celebration, is a fitting stage for “PoloFest.” Since Polo first launched in Japan in 1976, generations of collectors and enthusiasts have embraced the brand and cultivated a distinctive perspective shaped by a commitment to authenticity, craftsmanship, heritage style, and classic American style. In a specially designed immersive space, “PoloFest” will present a vibrant three-day program. This will include an archive exhibition featuring a carefully selected display of rare and iconic Polo items, as well as a vintage market where Polo collectors and dealers from around the world will gather, allowing visitors to see wonderful vintage items. During the event, there will also be talks and a speaker series themed around the culture that has inspired the brand and the people who shape its community. In addition, unique “Polo” exclusive items created by artisans who carry on Japanese traditions will be sold, including Yui Narita of “BROWNTABBYWORKS,” which specializes in repairing used clothing with skill in repairing and recreating items according to the era and country of the object; “SASHIKO GALS,” a sashiko group born in Otsuchi Town, Iwate Prefecture; and “MITSUGU SASAKI” (Sasaki Clothing Store), which does vintage remakes using old cloth. The event will be held from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the Yodobashi J6 Building in Harajuku, Tokyo.
