TWICE's Jeongyeon is gaining attention for a scene where she tears up while talking about her sister, Gong Seungyeon. In the latter half of the broadcast of tvN's 'You Quiz ON THE BLOCK' aired yesterday (6th), a preview featuring the sisters was shown. Gong Seungyeon, who reached her peak acting career in MBC's 'The Lady in the 21st Century,' appeared, and her sister Jeongyeon participated in an interview. Jeongyeon said, 'I am very happy that my sister is doing well recently,' and added, 'It was a time when I was mentally struggling... It makes me cry.' Jeongyeon suffered from Cushing's syndrome due to steroid side effects during her treatment for cervical disc herniation in 2020, which caused rapid weight gain. She also faced symptoms of panic disorder and anxiety, leading to a break from activities. After repeatedly resuming and pausing her activities, she has now recovered both physically and mentally through diligent care and is currently participating in a world tour.
