To support the victims of the large-scale fire in Hong Kong, K-POP groups have been donating one after another and expressing their condolences. SM Entertainment announced a donation of 1 million Hong Kong dollars (about 20 million yen) to the Hong Kong Red Cross to support firefighting and rescue activities. Additionally, the group RIIZE donated 250,000 Hong Kong dollars (about 5 million yen), and aespa donated 500,000 Hong Kong dollars (about 10 million yen) to the Hong Kong Red Cross. Furthermore, WayV added, "Upon hearing the very sad news, our hearts felt very heavy. Although we are small, we decided to donate 250,000 Hong Kong dollars in the name of WayV to the Hong Kong Red Cross. We express our deep condolences to those who lost their lives in this fire. We sincerely convey our comfort to all the affected families. We pay respect to the heroes who provided rescue. We sincerely pray for peace." According to local media, GOT7's Jackson, who is from Hong Kong, also donated 1 million Hong Kong dollars to support the victims. The Fosun Foundation in China revealed today (28th) that i-dle donated 1 million yuan (about 22 million yen) through the foundation. The donation will be used for emergency relief and recovery support. Previously, member Ugi left a message on his social media saying, "I hope everyone is safe," expressing his condolences. YG ENTERTAINMENT also announced a donation of 1 million Hong Kong dollars for emergency relief and disaster recovery, stating, "We hope this small warmth reaches the local area and helps everyone overcome this difficulty together." Additionally, HYBE MUSIC GROUP APAC donated 500 million won (about 50 million yen) to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. The donation will be used to support the families of the fire victims in collaboration with a non-profit organization in Hong Kong. Amid the large-scale fire, the "2025 MAMA AWARDS" announced that it will be held as scheduled at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong over two days, today and tomorrow. However, the red carpet event has been canceled, and they will show their condolences through a moment of silence and donations. Changes to the stage production and setlist are also expected. A large-scale fire broke out around 2:52 PM local time on the 26th in a high-rise building over 30 stories in Tai Po, northern Hong Kong. According to local media, as of the morning of the 28th, there were 94 dead and over 70 injured, with this incident being reported as "the worst fire since Hong Kong's handover."
