Kong Seung-yeon looked back on her time as a trainee at SM Entertainment for 7 years. On the 18th, tvN's 'You Quiz ON THE BLOCK' posted a video titled 'Kong Seung-yeon, who lay in the corner of her room after finishing her 7 years as a trainee, was shocked by her mother's 'fact violence' (sharp pointing out of facts).' In the video, Yoo Jae-suk asked, 'I heard you were chosen to join SM for your looks when you participated in the Gayageum competition. I wonder who your colleagues were back then.' In response, Kong Seung-yeon said, 'There were Girls' Generation, SUPER JUNIOR, Red Velvet, EXO, etc.' She admitted, 'At that time, I had no talent and couldn't dance or sing well. There were reasons I couldn't debut.' She continued, 'In the end, when I left the agency without debuting, I really couldn't see the future. I didn't know how to start alone.' She recalled, 'One day, while I was just lying at home, my mother confronted me, saying, 'How long do you plan to waste time at home?' That statement woke me up, and afterward, I went around visiting acquaintances and begged them to let me audition.' Kong Seung-yeon's tumultuous story of her debut as an actress can be seen on 'You Quiz ON THE BLOCK' airing in Korea on the 20th.
