However, during the competition, one member made a mistake by dropping the baton, allowing LUN8 to succeed in overtaking &TEAM, which finished in second place. Fortunately, the top two teams in the preliminaries advanced to the finals, much to the relief of fans. MC Jung Hyun-moo expressed surprise, saying, 'Despite dropping the baton, they widened the gap to finish second.' Jonathan remarked, 'If we hadn't made it to the finals today, I probably wouldn't have been able to sleep,' while Jung Hyun-moo joked, 'I was so frustrated I was going to sleep holding the baton.' Finally, in the much-anticipated men's finals, a strong contender, LUN8's Jin-soo, dropped the baton, creating a disappointing situation. At that moment, &TEAM maintained a calm baton exchange and their strength, not yielding the lead, and became the champions with overwhelming ability. MC Lee Eun-ji commented, 'No one could stop &TEAM's runaway victory,' and after winning, the members of &TEAM rushed to their fans to express their joy. They added, 'We are happy to win the gold medal in the relay again this year, following last year's Idol Athletics Championships. We also thank all the fans who supported us.'
