On this day, he posted a photo of his shaved head with the comment "I will go carefully" on his Instagram. He took a self-shot in a simple white T-shirt while posing in front of a mirror, and also drew attention with a shot making a heart shape with his cut hair. On the same day, a message video for Japanese fans was released through SF9's official X (formerly Twitter). He greeted in Japanese, "Hello, this is SF9's Yutaeon," and continued, "As of today, I have enlisted. Over the past 10 years, I believe I have created many wonderful memories with fans as SF9 and as Yutaeon." He added, "I will fulfill my duty to the country for a while. Please take care of your health as well." He expressed his hope that fans would continue to support and love the members who will work hard from now on, saying, "I will go with energy, so please wait a little." He concluded with a message in Japanese, "Thank you always, everyone. I will go now. Please wait for me." Prior to this, his agency, FNC Entertainment, commented that due to the large number of soldiers gathering on the day of enlistment, the location and time of Yutaeon's enlistment would be kept private, and no special events would be held. Yutaeon debuted as a member of SF9 in 2016 and has also been active in numerous musicals such as 'RENT', 'The Three Musketeers', 'Dream High', and 'Secretly Greatly: THE LAST'.
