IU celebrated Children's Day and donated 100 million won (about 10 million yen). On May 5th, IU's official account posted a donation certificate with a comment saying, "I want all children to be loved and grow into healthy adults. Ai Yuena (a combination of IU and the fan club name "Yuena") will continue to support this spring." IU, who has been quietly donating every year on Children's Day, donated 100 million won this year for children in difficult circumstances. IU is a leading angel of donations in the entertainment industry. Last year, she started with a donation of love charcoal for low-income vulnerable groups in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do in January, followed by donations to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation on Children's Day in May, and talent donations to Miral School. On her birthday in May, she donated to the Heart Foundation, Single Mothers' Families Association in Korea, Vulnerable Elderly Support Foundation in Korea, and on her debut anniversary on September 18th, she donated 300 million won (30 million yen) in the name of Ai Yuena to Seoul Asan Hospital, Korea Children's Welfare Association, and Seoul Children's Hospital. On December 31st last year, she donated 200 million won (20 million yen) to four organizations for winter heating and welfare for vulnerable groups. Meanwhile, IU successfully completed a solo concert "2024 IU H. E. R. WORLD TOUR CONCERT IN SEOUL" at Seoul KSPO DOME on March 2-3, 9-10. Through this Seoul performance, she gathered over 60,000 spectators, about 15,000 per show. At the end of the performance, she announced that she will hold a solo concert at Seoul World Cup Stadium for two days on the 21st and 22nd via the electronic billboard. With this, IU added a significant new record of being the first female artist to hold a concert at Seoul World Cup Stadium on her 16th debut anniversary. Prior to this, IU achieved the feat of holding a solo concert "The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun" at the Seoul Olympic Main Stadium in Songpa-gu in 2022, marking the first female artist to perform at the Chamshil Main Stadium. IU has continued her overseas tour, including a successful Jakarta performance on April 27th and 28th. She is also preparing for performances in Hong Kong and the Philippines in June. A new film release as actress IU is also on the horizon. She will appear in the new drama "Thank You So Much" by writer Im Sang-chun and director Kim Won-seok, scheduled for release on Netflix by the end of the year.
