SEVENTEEN’s Vernon will enlist today (the 20th). Pledis Entertainment, the group’s agency (hereinafter, Pledis), announced Vernon’s enlistment on July 27 through the fan community platform Weverse. On the same day, Dokyeom’s enlistment was also announced, and Dokyeom is scheduled to enlist as an active-duty Army soldier on September 8. Pledis called out, saying, “Since the training center entrance ceremony and the workplace for alternative service are places where many soldiers and family members attend, we ask that you refrain from visiting the site.” Vernon announced the formation of the new unit “V8” with The8 in May of this year. Through the release of their first mini album “V8” and concerts, they interacted with fans around the world and showed a new charm different from their group activities. SEVENTEEN currently has Wonwoo serving as a social service worker, and Woozi and Hoshi serving in the military as active-duty Army soldiers. Recently, following Vernon and Dokyeom, the enlistments of Mingyu, Seungkwan, and Dino were also announced. According to Pledis, Mingyu will begin service as a social service worker from September 10, and Seungkwan and Dino will enlist on October 26 as Army band soldiers on the same day. SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu models for Isaac Toast, which is launching its first long-term pop-up store in Japan. The Korean toast brand will be available for purchase in Japan, and a new sweet-and-tangy Isaac Sauce will debut. The acoustic track features a simple arrangement and a warm melody, with Joshua participating in the lyrics and composition. It was released in Chinese and English versions and drew strong reactions from global CARATs. The Chinese version was made with WeiBird, while the English version is Joshua’s solo. He has also been active in other music projects, including covers and OST work.
