A marathon event 'Blue Run' aimed at the prevention and understanding of diabetes will be held for the second consecutive year. The '2nd Blue Run' will take place on November 9 around the Tancheon Sports Complex in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. This event aims to spread awareness about the seriousness of diabetes and the importance of prevention through running, with stars also scheduled to run in the Tancheon area. Like last year, it is organized and supervised by the Korean Diabetes Association and SPOTV NEWS, with support from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Korean Diabetes Society, and the Korean Type 1 Diabetes Association. Last year, two categories of 10km and 5km were held around Peace Park in Sangam-dong, Seoul, attracting over 5,000 runners who sweated under the clear autumn sky. This year, it will be held on the roads of Seongnam instead of the Han River. On the day of the event, traffic regulations will be in place around the course starting around 8 AM, as runners aim to challenge themselves and update their personal records. Celebrities such as Shin Jae-ha, Ko Won-hee, Lee Joo-an, and Kang Jun-kyu are also expected to participate. Additionally, a celebratory stage by WOOAH will be presented to energize participants. Participants in the '2nd Blue Run' will receive commemorative T-shirts and medals. Supportive companies with a strong interest in diabetes prevention will provide abundant prizes. The participation fee remains the same as last year, with the 10km costing 50,000 won (about 5000 yen) and the 5km costing 40,000 won (about 4000 yen), and registration is available through the official 'Blue Run' website. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Korean Diabetes Association to support diabetes patients.
