Interest is gathering around Fan Minhyun (NU'EST) after his discharge. Pledis Entertainment revealed on October 23 that they are 'considering' his participation in the TVING original drama 'Study Group' Season 2. The work is based on a popular webcomic of the same name, where Yoon Gamin (Fan Minhyun), who wants to excel academically but only has talent for fighting, dives into a bloody entrance exam at the worst problem child school and forms a 'study group', making it a comedic high school action piece. After its release on TVING in January this year, it received favorable reviews from viewers and recorded the highest number of new paid subscribers for five consecutive weeks. The response from overseas viewers has also been enthusiastic, leading to interest in the production of Season 2. Fan Minhyun enlisted in March last year and began alternative service as a social service worker, with his discharge scheduled for December 20. With his discharge approaching, he has also been selected as the MC for the '2025 MBC Song Festival', drawing attention to his next work.
