'ASEA 2025' announced on the 13th that 'voting for the best male and female actors and couple awards chosen by fans has started.' The award ceremony will feature beloved stars nominated by fans both domestically and internationally, with fierce competition expected. Actors from popular works that recorded high viewership ratings over the past year have been nominated. In the male actor category, nominees include Kim Soo-hyun ('Queen of Tears'), Lee Min-ho ('Pachinko 2'), ASTRO's Cha Eun-woo ('Wonderful World'), Byung Woo-seok ('Run with Song Jae'), Park Seo-joon ('Kyungseong Creature 2'), Ji Chang-wook ('Queen Yu'), and Hwang In-youp ('Assembled Family'). In the female actor category, strong candidates competing include Kim Ji-won ('Queen of Tears'), Bae Suzy ('Wonderland'), Han So-hee ('Kyungseong Creature 2'), Park Shin-hye ('Judge from Hell'), and Kim Go-eun ('The Grave / Pamyo'). Idols active as actors are also included in this voting lineup, such as Kim Se-jeong ('Drunk Romance'), EXO's Suho ('The Crown Prince Disappeared'), ASTRO's Yoon San-ha and SHINee's Minho ('A House Full of Love'), Im Si-wan ('Squid Game 2'), Apink's Jung Eun-ji ('Miss Night & Miss Day'), and former DIA's Chae-young ('Assembled Family'). The couple award category includes Kim Soo-hyun & Kim Ji-won ('Queen of Tears'), Lee Min-ho & Kim Min-ha ('Pachinko 2'), and Byung Woo-seok & Kim Hae-yoon ('Run with Song Jae'), all waiting for fan selections. This voting is divided into male actor, female actor, and couple awards, with preliminary and final rounds. The first preliminary round will be held from November 14 to December 12, and those ranked high will advance to the second preliminary round. The second preliminary round will take place from December 23 to January 20 next year, determining the final candidates for the main selection. 'ASEA 2025' is co-hosted by Newsen and @star1, representing Korea's entertainment and sports awards that turn global fan support for artists into a single festival. Voting for actors provides a special opportunity for fans to express their support through direct voting in a festival created together with the actors. The best actors and couples selected by fans are expected to become the protagonists of 'ASEA 2025', with voting participation available through the 'PODOAL' app. Winners of each stage of the preliminary rounds will be featured in the banner image of Newsen's official YouTube channel, which has 1.12 million subscribers, and will also be given interview opportunities. Final candidates will be announced in January 2025.
