It has become clear that Momo of TWICE had a tooth extraction during the world tour schedule, worrying fans. Momo recently commented through a communication app with fans, saying, "ONCE (TWICE fans), I had a tooth extracted in Chicago, but it hasn't been long since the extraction, so my left side of the face is still swollen today. So please understand if I look very swollen." She continued, "During the Chicago performance, my tooth hurt a lot, and it was so painful that I couldn't sleep that night, so I went to a Chicago dentist in the morning, but the area that had previously undergone root canal treatment had worsened." She added, "To treat it, I would have to go to Korea, but realistically, it would be over a week before I could go, and even if I went to Korea, I wouldn't have time to receive treatment... It was so painful that I thought I couldn't perform before going to Korea, even with painkillers. I had no choice but to extract it." She further explained, "Originally, it wasn't necessary to extract it, but since I couldn't go to Korea and root canal treatment can't be done in a day, and I had to perform, I struggled at the dentist and ended up extracting it." In response to fans worrying that she might need an implant, Momo said, "I have to get an implant. But I think I can do that after returning from Europe." Fans are concerned about the situation where she had to extract a tooth that didn't need to be removed for the sake of performances. TWICE is currently on their largest world tour, "THIS IS FOR," which has 78 performances in 43 regions worldwide since July last year. Meanwhile, there have been recent health issues among the members. In March, Dahyun paused activities due to an ankle fracture, and Chaeyoung felt discomfort in her back and received treatment.
