SHINee's Minho held a fan meeting '2026 BEST CHOI's MINHO『Our Movie』in JAPAN' for two days on January 10 (Saturday) and 11 (Sunday) at Yokohama BUNTAI in Kanagawa Prefecture. He debuted his 1st single 'TEMPO', released on December 15 last year, and the digital release of his original solo songs 'Sunkissed' and 'Flawless', which will be released on February 25, after a 3 year and 9 month hiatus. The event was enjoyable, showcasing moments that highlighted the bond with fans, known as Shawols. The stage, reminiscent of a theater, featured a red carpet on the central stairs, and after a comedic opening video themed around movies, Minho appeared in a formal suit. He smiled at the audience, illuminated by pearl aqua green light sticks, and exclaimed, 'I missed everyone! Shall we go?' before performing 'CALL BACK'. The audience was captivated as he danced elegantly to the upbeat R&B number, enthusiastically calling out, 'SHINee WORLD! SHINee WORLD! I missed you!' This was his first solo performance in Japan since the Asia tour in February last year, and he welcomed everyone with a big smile, saying 'Irasshai' (Welcome). Following this, he engaged in a talk segment with the familiar MC, Dorianzu, reflecting on a miraculous event that occurred during a live broadcast on Fuji TV's 'Pokapoka' on January 9, and reminiscing about his long-standing relationship with Dorianzu. He explained the meaning behind the title 'Our Movie', saying, 'My encounters with everyone feel like a movie.' As a fan meeting, there were many segments beyond live performances. In the first segment, 'CHOI's Q&A', Minho answered questions collected from fans in advance. When asked about hairstyles he wanted to try, he mentioned he liked black but promised to dye his hair for the fans if they requested blonde or red. He also answered questions about activities he wanted to do with Shawols, excluding 'marathons and jogging', and chose between 'not eating three meals' or 'not exercising for 24 hours', selecting the former because he could eat the next day but would lose muscle if he didn't exercise for a day. The questions reflected the fans' deep understanding of him, creating a friendly atmosphere. In the 'Back to the Future MINHO' segment, Minho challenged himself to find several hidden panels in the audience within a time limit and arrange them in chronological order. The Shawols were thrilled as he walked through the audience, showcasing the trust he built with them. A video depicting an 'alternate life' where Minho was scouted at a ski resort was shown, and he changed into a prince-like outfit with a frilled white shirt, white pants, and a black vest, singing 'Stay for a night' as he appeared in the audience. The song, which he participated in writing, had poignant lyrics expressing longing for a loved one, yet the melody was warm, as he sang to each Shawol in front of him. He then returned to the stage to perform the original Japanese song 'Romeo and Juliet', showcasing a light dance to the medium-tempo song, with Shawols swaying their light sticks in rhythm. In the second half of the game segment, Minho and Shawols united their feelings. He guessed the choices of Shawols and played a gesture game with selected fans from the audience. The gestures included classic poses like 'heart' and 'bodybuilder', which matched perfectly, delighting Minho. After announcing the winners of the gifts, the atmosphere in the venue warmed up, leading to the 'universe premiere' of his new song 'Flawless'. The catchy chorus, 'Don't decorate, just as you are, beautiful', conveyed a message of strength and affirmation, celebrating imperfection. Minho's expression was filled with smiles as he sang, and despite it being the first time Shawols heard it, they naturally swayed along. After finishing, Minho commented, 'It was my first original song in Japan, and today, in this place, not on Earth but in the universe, I let you hear it for the first time.' When he asked the audience, 'Was it good?', they responded with a loud cheer, eager to affirm. Changing into a wild all-black outfit, the event reached its climax. He performed cool numbers 'Affection' and 'Round Kick', sealing away the soft smiles he had shown during the games, and captivating Shawols with powerful and sexy dance moves. The finale was 'TEMPO', the title track of his 1st single released on December 15, marking its first performance in Japan. Shawols enthusiastically called out from the start, swaying to the pleasant tempo of the song. Minho stepped rhythmically, occasionally showing alluring expressions. As silver tape was released towards the audience, the excitement peaked, concluding the main part of the event. However, the energy was still high, and during the encore called by 'Choi Minho', he performed another original Japanese new song 'Sunkissed'. Dressed casually in a blue jumpsuit and cap, he sang and danced lightly to the refreshing medium-tempo song. The song depicted a sense of freedom, like running towards the dazzling sunlight, capturing moments where everyday life gradually becomes warm while spending time with loved ones, evoking a warmth akin to 'sunshine' in the heart. Although this song was also 'universe premiere', it naturally got Shawols moving. Finally, he gazed lovingly at the audience and said, 'I hope this time today becomes a precious time for everyone. Thank you so much. I'm sorry for always keeping you waiting. I will work hard so I can come more often. I am always here (on stage), waiting for you.' He expressed, 'You are always my hope!' and waved goodbye as he left the stage. Minho is scheduled to appear at 'SMTOWN LIVE 2025-26 in FUKUOKA' on January 31 and February 1, and the highly anticipated new songs 'Sunkissed' and 'Flawless' will be released on February 25 (Wednesday) at 0:00.
