The skincare brand 'Bifesta' has appointed the 5th generation K-POP boy group ZEROBASEONE as its new campaign ambassador. Their new commercials for 'Bifesta Serum Cleansing Oil' and 'Bifesta Foam Wash' will be released online on October 2 (Wednesday) and will start airing nationwide on terrestrial TV from October 26 (Saturday). Bifesta is returning to its roots with the concept that 'cleansing is the important first step in skincare' and is launching a new cleansing oil in addition to renewing its existing line, presenting a new Bifesta. This time, Bifesta has chosen the 9-member boy group ZEROBASEONE, whose name signifies 'a free journey towards 0 to 1 and a shining beginning,' as its new ambassador. Starting November 1 (Friday), a campaign will be held where purchasers of Bifesta products can win original goods from ZEROBASEONE (details to be announced later), and life-size panels of ZEROBASEONE members will also be displayed at some stores. Anticipation is rising for the new Bifesta commercials and products that are full of moisture and joy. ◆ New CM Story / Behind the Scenes <Bifesta 'Serum Cleansing Oil' Edition> The commercial begins with Kim Ji-un whispering 'Bifesta,' and members dressed in all-white appear one after another in a space where oil flows. The members change their poses and gazes to convey the pleasant feeling of using 'Bifesta Serum Cleansing Oil' to the viewers, showing impressive expressions. At the end of the CM, Zhang Hao appears and calls out, 'Every day, let's cleanse and moisturize.' The CM showcases ZEROBASEONE's alluring charm. - Behind the Scenes To create the flowing oil space in front of the members, a transparent panel was placed in front of them. The making-of footage captures each member's unique way of shooting, whether leaning on the panel or sometimes putting their weight on it. The contrast between bold solo shots and synchronized movements of multiple members, as well as the gap between their natural expressions before shooting and their alluring expressions once the camera starts rolling, is a must-see. <Bifesta 'Foam Wash' Edition> In this CM, the members appear to be playing on fluffy and dense foam, with Kim Gyubin's voice saying 'Bifesta' and the camera flowing sideways from him to Kim Ji-un, Seok Matthew, Han Yujin, Zhang Hao, Song Hanbin, Kim Taere, Ricky, and Park Gonuk. The members express the pleasantness of the foam with smiles, rolling around, and relaxed expressions. At the end of the CM, Song Hanbin appears with 'moisture pearls' symbolizing the product's feature of 'not only removing dirt but also leading to moisturized skin,' saying, 'Every day, let's cleanse and moisturize.' In contrast to the 'Serum Cleansing Oil' CM, this one reveals the members' innocent and childlike sides. - Behind the Scenes A 5-meter-long cushion was specially made for this shoot, large enough for all 9 members to lie down comfortably, representing the soft and pleasant foam of 'Bifesta Foam Wash.' The members were surprised to see the cushion and lay down in various poses. This scene was shot in one continuous take, with the members improvising by rolling over to get closer to each other or showing relaxed natural expressions while maintaining cool looks on the foam. There was even a moment when staff worried that a member had actually fallen asleep due to the cushion's comfort, and the shooting proceeded in a relaxed atmosphere. ◆ Interview - Please tell us your impressions of the CM shoot. Song Hanbin: I had a lot of fun shooting today! During the scene on the cushion that represents foam, all the members felt happy. It was really enjoyable! Han Yujin: I’ve never seen such a long cushion before, so it was a bit strange. Ricky: The studio was so big that I was able to relax during the shoot, which was great. - This is the first time for ZEROBASEONE to serve as ambassadors for a Japanese cosmetics brand. Please share your thoughts on becoming Bifesta ambassadors. Park Gonuk: It’s very meaningful for us to shoot a large-scale CM in Japan for the first time. It’s an honor to become ambassadors for such a well-known brand that we are familiar with! Kim Taere: I’m really looking forward to seeing our shining selves in various stores in Japan! Seok Matthew: This is our first time appearing in an advertisement in Japan, right!? I’m very honored to be part of this ad. I think it will feel very strange to see our faces (in the ad) when we go to stores in Japan, especially since we’re not even used to it in Korea... it’s truly an honor. - Regarding the products, Bifesta’s cleansing and washing products, what do you usually pay attention to in your beauty routines? Kim Gyubin: I’ve been focusing on skincare lately. I often use cleansers and prioritize washing my face after makeup. Kim Ji-un: We don’t have much time for skin care during our regular music program activities. I have a self-care device that I often use and carry around, and it’s good to take care of my skin before applying makeup. I also prioritize using a mask every day. Zhang Hao: We often wear stage makeup, so we pay attention to using dedicated removers for eye and lip makeup. I’ve been using Bifesta’s remover (micellar eye makeup remover) for a long time.
