It has become clear that SHINee's Key will not appear in the '2025 MBC Broadcasting Entertainment Awards' for which he was scheduled to be an MC, due to his suspension of activities. Today (17th), a representative from the '2025 MBC Broadcasting Entertainment Awards' stated to OSEN, 'In light of Key's expressed intention to suspend his activities, the production team has decided to respect this intention and proceed with the award ceremony with two MCs, Jung Hyun-moo and Chang Do-young.' Additionally, it was reported that Key will not participate in the next filming of the regular shows tvN's 'Amazing Saturday' and MBC's 'I Live Alone.' Furthermore, the YouTube channel 'DdeunDdeun' announced that they will no longer upload content for 'Closet Thief Reboot,' which Key was hosting. Key was recently embroiled in the 'Injection Aunt' controversy initiated by comedian Park Na-rae. Park Na-rae is currently embroiled in disputes, having been accused of power harassment and illegal medical practices against former managers, and is facing lawsuits for extortion. Amidst this, it was revealed that A, known as the 'Injection Aunt' who performed illegal medical practices, had a long-standing friendship with Key. However, SM Entertainment clarified that Key only learned of A's status as a doctor when he visited the hospital in Gangnam, Seoul, introduced by an acquaintance. He had received treatment at the hospital and a few times at home, but only recently recognized that A was not a doctor. SM Entertainment emphasized that Key is very confused and reflects on his ignorance, stating, 'Recognizing the seriousness of this matter, we have decided to withdraw from scheduled activities and programs.' A, known as Park Na-rae's 'Injection Aunt,' initially disguised herself as a medical professional on her personal SNS, claiming to have graduated from a non-existent medical school in Inner Mongolia, China. However, it was confirmed by medical organizations that this school is a 'ghost medical university' and that A does not have a medical license in Korea, leading to her being accused of illegal medical practices by the Korean Medical Association.
