WAKER made a comeback with their 3rd mini-album. WAKER released their 3rd mini-album "In Elixir: Spellbound" through music distribution sites on the 8th of this month, starting full-fledged comeback activities. This album includes 10 songs, equivalent to a full album, showcasing the charm of various genres. Additionally, this work holds even more special meaning for the members and fans as it marks their 2nd anniversary. -- You came back with the beginning of the new year; how do you feel? WAKER: I think it’s a meaningful chapter that opens the year 2026, and I feel excited but also a great sense of responsibility. Since we are starting the new year with WAKER's music, I want to show a better stage. -- What message did you embed in this album? WAKER: We expressed the emotions that are hard to escape from, especially the moment of "falling in love." We encapsulated the flow of emotions that slowly seep into someone and before you know it, you can’t escape, within the larger framework of "Elixir (universal remedy)." I would be happy if WAKER's music and stage could become something like that Elixir. -- Please introduce the title track "LiKE THAT." What was the members' reaction when they first heard it? WAKER: It’s a song about searching for love amidst intense energy. It’s very addictive, and I wanted fans to hear it quickly. Also, since it’s funky music that WAKER hasn’t done before, all the members had a strong reaction that it seemed challenging and interesting. -- Is there a particularly attractive killing part or point dance? WAKER: The chorus part is the killing part. It’s the first time WAKER is showcasing a sexy vibe, so I think many people will like it. Please pay attention to the dance as well. -- If you had to choose the best concept among street, all-black, and dandy, which would you choose? WAKER: All the members liked the overall all-black outfits the most. I think it best represents WAKER's new look. -- The visual film's scene where the heart rate goes up to 124 bpm was impressive, but when was the moment your heart raced the most? WAKER: I think it was during the filming of this music video. The first cut was a scene with a store in the background, and I think all the members' heart rates went up to 200 bpm at that moment. -- Among the various genres of songs included, which song do you feel particularly attached to? Kohyun & Sebom: "Drop Out." Since Sebom choreographed it for the first time, it holds more meaning and attachment. We plan to showcase it through a good opportunity, so please look forward to it. Kwon Hyup & Rio: "Lucid Dream." My favorite song changes frequently with each album, but in this album, I particularly like the emotional song. Lee Jun & Sebyeol: The part "Sweet like chocolate fondue" in "Sugar Crush" is really addictive. It’s the perfect song to listen to when you want to lift your spirits. -- Why did you include 10 songs in this mini-album? WAKER: The more songs we have, the more we can showcase on stage, and above all, we wanted to deliver various genres of songs with our voices. -- What kind of evaluation do you want to receive from fans around the world through this activity? WAKER: I would be happy if we could be recognized as a group that works hard and grows with each passing year. We will do our best to make that happen, so please watch over us. -- It’s your 3rd year since debut; do you have a specific goal you want to achieve? WAKER: I want to hold a solo concert under the name WAKER. Also, I hope this year will not just be a year of many activities but a memorable one. -- Please say something to the sleepers (fan name) who have been waiting for your comeback. Kohyun: Happy New Year! Thank you so much for waiting for a long time. I look forward to 2026 as well. May it be filled with only happiness. I love you. Kwon Hyup: It feels even more special to be able to start 2026 together. I hope this album becomes music that stays in the hearts of sleepers for a long time. Lee Jun: May I become a charm for everyone reading this at the new beginning of 2026. Rio: We returned with wonderful music as much as you waited, so please look forward to it. I hope we can start 2026 well together with WAKER. Sebyeol: We will work hard to become an even cooler and prouder group, so please continue to support us. Sebom: WAKER has returned this time with passion and truly looking cool. Please be prepared to watch the stage. I think this comeback wouldn’t have happened without sleepers. I am always grateful. I love you.
