It has been revealed that a Japanese woman who forcibly kissed Jin of BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) was indicted at home and expressed her position of "regret." On June 14 last year, Jin directly interacted with fans for the first time after his discharge from the military at the "2024 FESTA" held in the Songpa district of Seoul. Jin held the event just one day after completing his military service, for the fans who waited for him. In particular, Jin himself proposed the idea of "free hugs" and held a special event where he hugged about 1,000 fans. At that time, the suspect participated in the event and hugged Jin, suddenly kissing him on the cheek. Jin's bewildered and flustered expression was witnessed, leading to widespread criticism of the Japanese woman's actions. Ultimately, fans submitted a complaint requesting an investigation for "violating the sexual violence punishment law" against the suspect. The Songpa police station requested the suspect to appear, but it was expected that the investigation would take considerable time, and they decided to suspend the investigation in March this year. Subsequently, in May this year, the Songpa police station sent the Japanese woman in her 50s who kissed Jin to the prosecution for charges of indecency in a public place under the sexual violence punishment law. It was revealed that the suspect entered Korea and voluntarily reported to the police. According to the legal community, the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutor's Office indicted the suspect at home on the 12th. On the 18th, Japan's TBS reported that the Japanese woman was indicted in Korea, quoting sources from the investigation stating that the suspect expressed, "I regret it. I didn't think this would be a crime."
