On September 16, 2025, Bulgari opened the "Bulgari Kaleidoscope: Color, Culture, Technique" exhibition at the National Art Center. This is Bulgari's largest exhibition in Japan to date and the first in ten years. The exhibition, which resembles a kaleidoscopic journey, showcases about 350 colorful jewelry pieces and masterpieces of contemporary art, celebrating the brilliant dialogue between Italian and Japanese culture. Following a press conference and preview held in the morning, a gala dinner at the National Art Center and an after-party at the Bulgari Hotel Tokyo marked a glamorous opening day. The opening event, held before the public opening on September 17, was attended by notable guests including Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado, Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, Italian Ambassador to Japan Gianluigi Benedetti, Bulgari ambassador Kim Ji-won, IVE's Wonyoung, and many others. Kim Ji-won shone in a "Morganaite Exuberance" high jewelry pink gold necklace, adorned with pink morganite, garnet, and peridot. Wonyoung wore a necklace featuring a 17.97-carat Colombian emerald and a modular yellow gold design. Mori Hoshi dazzled in a necklace, earrings, and ring from the "Chalcedony Sinusity High Jewelry" collection. Ayane Omasa wore a platinum necklace with an 8.69-carat Zambian emerald and matching earrings. Tomohisa Yamashita embodied sophistication with a platinum "Octo Roma" high-end watch and Bulgari brooches. The exhibition is divided into three themes: "The Science of Color," "The Symbolism of Color," and "The Power of Light," featuring iconic pieces like the legendary emerald necklace "Seven Wonders" and new artworks by contemporary artists. The gala dinner, held in the museum's grand atrium, provided guests with a refined experience, enhanced by music from composer and pianist Roberto Cacciapaglia and vocalist Kana Ogawa. Prior to the gala, a press conference included discussions on the concept of "Bulgari Kaleidoscope" by various experts. This exhibition reflects Bulgari's excellence in color and deep respect for cultural heritage, highlighting the strong creative and emotional ties between Italy and Japan. During the exhibition, a richly designed catalog titled "Bulgari Kaleidoscope: Color, Culture, Technique" will be available for limited sale at the gift shop, featuring essays, stunning photographs, and highlights from the Bulgari Heritage Collection. The Bulgari Hotel Tokyo also participates in this memorable exhibition with special projects, including an immersive installation by contemporary artist Akiko Nakayama in the hotel's elevator, showcasing four video works themed on the sky. Additionally, selected works from the Bulgari Heritage Collection and private collections will be displayed in the gallery on the 40th floor. At "Bulgari Dolce," limited edition chocolate gems created by Gianluca Fusto, the chocolatier of Bulgari Il Cioccolato, will also be available to commemorate the exhibition.
