In the broadcast special 'No Exit from the Palace' aired on the 4th in Korea, actors YoonA, Lee Che-min, Kang Han-na, Oh Wi-sik, and Lee Joo-an appeared, sharing behind-the-scenes stories while watching episodes 11 and 12 together. First, Oh Wi-sik, who played Im Seong-jae, who met death in episode 11, talked about Seong-jae's last words, 'I will go ahead to fulfill my duty as a loyal subject,' saying, 'Some people said it was good, and some said it was funny. Personally, I liked it. I thought it might be a line fitting for Seong-jae.' He then expressed gratitude to Lee Che-min, saying, 'I received a lot of help on set. I was able to act while looking into (Lee Che-min's) eyes until the end. There was a setting just for the two of us.' Lee Che-min commented, 'I wanted it to come across as poignant. Adjusting to convey the feeling of sending off a long-time partner, it felt like a cool last line before death.' Oh Wi-sik expressed gratitude to the production team, saying, 'I was glad I could act from the heart, and I think they made it more beautiful than what we did.' Kang Han-na, who played Kang Mok-joo, met her end in the finale at the hands of Gong-gil (Lee Joo-an). Gong-gil, seeking revenge for his deceased sister, stabbed Kang Mok-joo again with a knife after she had already stabbed herself. Kang Han-na stated, 'I can't forgive you for killing me. It's not sane,' and added, 'I didn't expect to die at Gong-gil's hands, so my pride was deeply hurt. I wish the knife had been longer. I could feel Gong-gil's feelings of avenging his sister. Mok-joo deserved to die that way.' She also revealed that they initially filmed a version where she died with her eyes closed, saying, 'I looked too peaceful while dying. The director said to shoot it again. It was difficult to film the version where I die with my eyes open. My eyelashes trembled. I wanted to close my eyes.' Unlike the earlier part where new dishes were introduced and a cooking contest unfolded, the atmosphere changed drastically in episodes 11 and 12. Oh Wi-sik remarked, 'The latter half was interesting, so I wondered how it would have been if it had continued longer,' expressing regret over the end of episode 12. Regarding the modern scenes appearing towards the end of the finale, Oh Wi-sik shared, 'The staff were happy when we filmed the modern scenes,' while YoonA said, 'There wasn't enough time.' YoonA revealed that the line about reuniting with her colleagues at the restaurant was ad-libbed, saying, 'I couldn't help but say that line. I wanted to say it.' The finale's kiss scene between Lee Hong (Lee Che-min) and Yong Ji-young drew cheers. Kang Han-na lamented, 'Even though it's a restaurant, the two can only see each other. Please don't end it. I want to see more.' In the epilogue scene where Lee Hong spends time at Yong Ji-young's house, Oh Wi-sik expressed a desire for a Season 2, saying, 'I think Lee Hong's adaptation to Korea and future adaptation should be aired,' and Kang Han-na agreed, saying, 'Something new seems likely to happen.' Later, YoonA expressed her feelings in her final greeting, saying, 'The year 2025 was the time I lived as Yong Ji-young. I'm really sorry to greet the viewers in episode 12. My heart is heavy. I want to thank not only the actors but also the production team and staff for their efforts together. I want to express my gratitude for loving us until the end.'
