Uhm Jung-hwa revealed the secret to maintaining a body age in her early 30s even in her 50s. Uhm Jung-hwa recently spoke about her feelings ahead of the release through an interview for the film "Nonstop 2" (directed by Lee Cheol-ha), held at a location in Jongno District, Seoul. "Nonstop 2" is a comedy action film that begins when Mi-yeon (Uhm Jung-hwa), a legendary former agent who goes on a luxurious cruise trip with her family, gets caught up in a cruise ship hijacking incident in the middle of the open sea. This work is a sequel to the film "Nonstop," which was released in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the previous film, Uhm Jung-hwa, Park Sung-woong, Lee Sang-yoon, and Bae Jeong-nam appear, and Park Jin-joo, Ryeoun, and Girls' Generation's Sooyoung newly joined. In the interview that day, Uhm Jung-hwa revealed that she has continued a diet therapy for a long period of time that restricts carbohydrates and sugar. She said, "Unlike before, dieting has become difficult. As I got older, my body became heavier, and when my body became heavier, my mind became heavier too. Even when I dieted, there was no effect, so it was very hard, and after thinking of various methods, I came to do a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet." She continued, "After thoroughly practicing it for about three years, I lost weight, but my inflammation levels also went down, and my blood became cleaner. I learned that 'carbohydrates and sugar cause inflammatory reactions in the body.' Now it has become a habit, and I practice eating one meal a day. My body has also become lighter." Having revealed that she had "not eaten carbohydrates or sugar for three years," she said, "When I wanted to eat bread, I ate eggs and allulose instead. I got used to it as I went without eating." She added that although she now lives eating what she wants to some extent, "I still try to keep low carbohydrates and low sugar." Amid "Nonstop 2" being set to compete with "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" and "Odyssey," which will be released in Korea around the same time, Uhm Jung-hwa said to the distribution team, "Why did you do that?" but also promoted it by saying, "It is a Korean film that the whole family can enjoy, and the fact that I appear in it is a strength and a differentiating point."
