Studio Dragon, a leading studio in Korea, produced "Crash Landing on You," a love story that crosses the border between a South Korean chaebol heiress, Yoon Se-ri, who crash-landed in North Korea after a paragliding accident, and a North Korean military officer, Ri Jeong-hyeok. After airing in South Korea in December 2019, the musical gained significant popularity worldwide and continues to be popular even after four years. The musical was adapted in Korea in September 2022 and premiered in Japan in February 2024 due to high demand for performances in Japan. The talented cast's singing and acting received attention, leading to a speedy decision for a reprise. The original cast from the Japanese premiere will reunite for this reprise. The lead role of Ri Jeong-hyeok will be played by Yun Sa-na, the lead vocalist of ASTRO, a male idol group that debuted in Korea in 2016. Kim Ryo-won, who played the same role in the Korean production of "Crash Landing on You," will play Yoon Se-ri. Jin Jin from ASTRO will play Gu Seung-jun, and Chi So-young, the main vocalist of the female idol group Weki Meki, will play Seo Dan. The reprise will be performed with a single cast.
