Soyeon of (G)I-DLE's rap lyrics performed at the '2024 MAMA AWARDS' have become a topic of discussion. Yesterday (23rd), the '2024 MAMA AWARDS' was held at Osaka's Kyocera Dome in Japan. On this day, (G)I-DLE delivered an impressive stage alongside a mega crew, leaving a strong impression on the audience. Soyeon, who was the first to appear on stage, stood surrounded by numerous microphones and showcased a powerful rap that caught attention. Notably, the lyrics included the line, 'You said, what can you do without Sujin?' referring to the former member who left the group. Previously, Sujin denied bullying allegations that surfaced in 2021 but ultimately departed from the group. Additionally, there were parts touching on contract expiration, with lyrics expressing, 'If I were affected by that, I wouldn't have come this far.' Following Soyeon's intense opening, (G)I-DLE performed 'Super Lady' with many dancers, proving their overwhelming vocal ability with 'Fate' afterward. In August, during a concert at KSPO DOME, she rearranged the lyrics of 'Is this bad b******number?' to include lines about 'contract expiration in November' and 'no one can stop me,' drawing attention.
