BIGHIT MUSIC announced today (26th) that 'Shin Seong-jung GM (General Manager) has been appointed as the new representative director.' The new representative Shin Seong-jung joined BIGHIT MUSIC, the predecessor of HYBE, in 2010 and contributed to the birth and early growth of the global artist BTS. She also served as the head of HYBE's T&D (Training & Development) division and GM, leading the development and operation of trainee selection and education programs tailored to each label's characteristics, thereby enhancing the new artist development system. Artists who debuted after going through the T&D program include BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, and &TEAM. Her achievements have been recognized, and she was named in the '2022 Billboard 40 Under 40,' which selects young leaders under 40 who lead the global music industry. She was also selected in the 'MULTI SECTOR' category of the 2023 'Billboard Women in Music,' which honors female artists, creators, producers, and executives who have made a significant impact on the music industry. With the new appointment, BIGHIT MUSIC is expected to further strengthen its sustainable growth and competitiveness in the global music market. Based on her extensive experience and expertise in the industry, she plans to take the lead in stabilizing and enhancing the label's operational system and expanding new business. Shin Yong-jae, who led BIGHIT MUSIC for four years since 2020, will focus on his role as the first representative of HYBE MUSIC GROUP APAC, which oversees the multi-label business in South Korea and Japan. HYBE explained that 'HYBE MUSIC GROUP APAC is a newly established organization based on HYBE's new growth strategy 'HYBE 2.0' launched in August.
