DAY6's Young K's pictorial has been released. Young K recently graced the digital cover of the September issue of 'ARENA HOMME+'. In this pictorial, he collaborated with a watch brand. Young K, who was keenly observing watches on set, shared that his first watch was a Hamilton. 'A classmate from university gifted me my first watch when they got their first job, and that was my first watch. Hamilton Jazzmaster. I started my social life first and treated everyone to meals. It's been a while since I received the watch, but I just recently adjusted the bracelet length. I still wear it diligently.' An essential item for DAY6 concerts is the fan support item 'My Day Watch.' Young K also proposed ideas for a new collaborative watch with Hamilton. 'Hamilton isn't a brand with too many titles. If a new My Day Watch is released, it would be the first fan support item in collaboration with a watch brand. It seems like a very meaningful piece could be created in that regard. I immediately think it would be interesting to make the strap out of leather. Or a watch with the MY DAY (DAY6's fan name) logo on an existing Hamilton model would also be nice.' On September 7, DAY6 will celebrate their 10th anniversary. They have grown to fill the KSPO DOME, but they weren't always this well-known since their debut. What was Young K feeling during those early days? 'I often use the phrase 'those experiences accumulate.' During my trainee days, in the times when we weren't receiving attention, and even while in the military, I didn't just let time pass. Because once I start spending time meaninglessly, I become lazy. So I made an effort to build each day properly. I truly lived hard. That's something I can be proud of.' Young K mentioned that even if he took a detour, he would have ended up working in music. He expressed his desire to remain a singer in the future. 'A good musician. No, it’s fine without 'good.' I want to be remembered as a musician. I might engage in various activities outside of music in the future, but ultimately, I think my profession is to create and share music. Sometimes I wonder, 'Am I not a good musician?' Even in those moments, I want to be someone who can at least be proud of being a musician.' The full pictorial and interview with Young K can be found in the September issue of ARENA.
