ZEROBASEONE supported the members who will re-debut as AND2BLE. ZEROBASEONE, which debuted in July 2023 through Mnet's 'BOYS PLANET', restructured from a 9-member group to a 5-member group after the concert in March. Four members, Jan Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyubin, and Han Yujin, returned to their original agency YH Entertainment and are set to debut in the new group AND2BLE. How did the members feel preparing for their last concert in a situation where parting was decided? Seok Matthew said, 'After knowing the results, I thought we should prepare hard for the concert first. I wanted to show a solid last performance as nine. When we parted on the last concert stage, I felt from that moment, 'This is the end.' We have worked hard as nine, and now we are starting a new chapter, but we are still supporting each other in the group chat.' Park Gonuk shared, 'While we were live streaming, someone asked in KakaoTalk to 'give a cheek heart.' We sometimes meet for meals and support each other.' When asked if he felt lonely with the absence of the members, Park Gonuk replied, 'At first, I thought it would be lonely with just five, but after the last concert, my mindset changed. Each of the five has practiced to enhance their individual charms and made up their minds. We strongly wanted to turn this crisis into an opportunity.' Changes in member composition also affected performance lines and parts. Seok Matthew expressed, 'During KCON JAPAN, I was worried it would look empty on stage. We prepared hard, but I am satisfied with the stage we created, which turned out better than expected.' Main vocalist Kim Taere said, 'Rather than the vocal weight increasing due to fewer members, I wanted to challenge myself and the members with new things we haven't done before, so fans can discover new charms.' Song Hanbin added, 'Since there are five of us now, I felt we had to prepare even harder. While preparing the title track and during KCON JAPAN, we focused on how each person looks. We practiced more to ensure we didn't miss opportunities to showcase each of us and researched what we needed to show as a team.' Regarding the reorganization process, Song Hanbin shared, 'I thought two main points were crucial for continuing and maintaining the team. First, I felt lucky to have met people I get along with among so many, so I had a strong desire to continue working together. Second, because of the fans who supported and waited for us, we decided to try more things so that ZEROBASEONE could be seen for a longer time. That aspect moved our hearts the most.' What does ZEROBASEONE consider the essence of the team? Kim Jiun, who expressed having many emotions during the changes, said, 'I think we can show a more mature side by sharing various emotions, including sadness. I believe that by showing our current selves rather than exaggerated performances, we can communicate closely with fans.' Song Hanbin revealed, 'ZEROBASEONE debuted through a survival program. We could debut thanks to the votes. Understanding the importance of that and the love from fans is the essence of our team.' With a new start, both teams will engage in 'friendly competition.' About a week after ZEROBASEONE's comeback, AND2BLE will release their debut album 'Sequence 01: Curiosity' on the 26th. Song Hanbin mentioned, 'Even when I led the members as a nine-member group, I always said it was about fighting against myself rather than competing against others. We talked about preparing well together, but I didn't expect our comeback periods to overlap.' He added, 'I hope ZEROBASEONE and AND2BLE can support each other and be happy in their own ways. Since our past activities are firmly in our hearts, I support them as comrades.' The situation where members of one team split into two teams and engage in activities around the same time has attracted the attention of K-POP fans. When asked if there was pressure regarding this, Song Hanbin replied, 'I think being released to the public along with the discussions of the public and fans creates a synergistic effect. Rather than having no interest at all, I believe that if we show what we have prepared well and our names are mentioned, it will serve as good PR. I hope it becomes a positive synergy for both.' What is ZEROBASEONE's unique strength among many idols making comebacks in May? Park Gonuk emphasized, 'Since this is our first comeback after the group changed, I think K-POP fans will be somewhat interested in our activities. If we can overcome the pressure and prove ourselves in that situation, I expect people will like ZEROBASEONE's music even more.' Regarding fan reactions, Seok Matthew said, 'Personally, I think this album is a music match. I would be happy if fans feel the same way. If so, we will gain confidence. I would be grateful if they could give us the conviction to 'believe in ourselves and move forward,' which would bring peace to our hearts.' Kim Jiun shared, 'Just by looking into the members' eyes, I can tell how they feel. After KCON JAPAN, I felt like crying when I looked into the members' eyes. We all felt the same way. I think we can empathize without words, and that's who we are now.' Kim Taere reflected, 'After many tours and overseas activities, I think, 'When did we grow so much?' With our hearts wide open, we are enjoying activities as five, united as one.' ZEROBASEONE sent a message to fans who have experienced sadness together and waited for their comeback. Seok Matthew expressed, 'Thank you for waiting so long, and for still being with us. We will work hard to meet those expectations. And we want to be together forever.' Kim Jiun conveyed his love for fans, saying, 'ZEROSE (ZEROBASEONE's fans) have become like stars in the empty night sky. They are that precious, and I love them.' Kim Taere stated, 'I want to continue being an artist that ZEROSE can be proud of.' Park Gonuk emphasized, 'I want to promise that ZEROBASEONE will continue to do our best and show only cool sides, so that ZEROSE can continue to love us as they did when they first liked us.'
