HYBE AMERICA and the American film production company Paramount Pictures have confirmed the casting lineup for the K-POP movie they are co-producing. They announced the casting of actors Son Jun, Kang So Ra, Lee Hyun Chul, MOMOLAND's Ain, Renata Vaca, Silia Kapsis, Aliyah Turner, Kim Shana, Park Jubi, among others, and revealed that filming started in Seoul on September 21 (24th, American time). Prior to this, actress Yoo Ji Yong and Eric Nam were cast as leads, followed by the announcement earlier this month that Yoo Ji Tae, Tony Revolori, and Gia Kim would also appear. The film aims for a theatrical release on February 12, 2027, and will be shot entirely in Korea. This is the first project among major Hollywood film production companies to be filmed entirely in Korea. Filming will take place in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi-do Gimpo, Paju, and Gapyeong starting from the 21st. The movie is set to depict the story of a Korean-American girl who dreams of becoming a member of a next-generation K-POP girl group and participates in a television audition program against her family's opposition. Directed by Benson Lee, known for the film 'SeoulへGO!!' starring Cha In Pyo, and written by Eileen Shim, who co-wrote the Disney+ original series 'Star Wars: Acolyte'. HYBE AMERICA is producing a K-POP film in Korea! Partnering with Paramount Pictures, HYBE has established a local corporation 'HYBE INDIA', making it the fifth after Japan and the USA.
