ATEEZ's HONGJOONG celebrated his birthday and showcased his gentle influence. HONGJOONG and ATINY (ATEEZ's fans) participated in the 'GLOBAL 6K for WATER 2025' virtual run campaign. With active participation from fans worldwide, it successfully concluded. This campaign was held as the 'HONGJOONG 6K Special Run' project to commemorate HONGJOONG's birthday on November 7, practicing meaningful sharing with fans. Last month, the campaign registration was conducted, with about 4,000 fans from Korea and abroad participating. From November 1 to 7, participants ran 6 km without time and location constraints, verifying their participation through social media. Special rewards were provided to participants, including a HONGJOONG version digital bib number, photo card, morning call voice, running playlist, and participation certificate. A social media verification event was also held, adding to the fans' voluntary participation and enthusiasm. Notably, this year, it was conducted simultaneously in collaboration with World Vision Singapore, creating a 'sharing space' for more global fans and citizens. The participation fee was 11,700 won (about 1,237 yen) per person, and a total of 60 million won (about 634,370 yen) raised through this campaign was fully donated to World Vision. The donation is intended for global water support projects to ensure safe drinking water and improve sanitary conditions for children in Africa. Prior to this, HONGJOONG has participated in various sponsorship activities for children in Korea and overseas, including the 'Dream Wings Club' supporting Korean children's dreams and water support for Zambia, in collaboration with World Vision since 2022. Last year, he held the first virtual run with about 3,400 fans, donating a total of 60 million won, continuing to exert his gentle influence. After the successful conclusion of this campaign with global fans, HONGJOONG expressed, 'While running with the same feelings as the fans, I felt again that it is something possible because we are together, and I sincerely thank everyone who united their hearts this time.' He also conveyed his hope that it would be of some help to children and residents in Africa facing water and sanitation issues. World Vision's Chairman Cho Myung-hwan also expressed deep gratitude to HONGJOONG and the fans for sharing their birthday, stating, 'We will do our best to ensure that the warm feelings collected while running together reach the children as hope.'
