On the 5th (local time), the American music media Grammy.com published an article titled "The Path to Yuta's 'Depth'" on its official site, introducing the album as one inspired by butterflies, reflecting Yuta's desire to soar like a butterfly, and showing high expectations for his activities as a solo artist. Grammy.com stated, "Filled with rock-based music, 'Depth' depicts the energy and dynamism shown through his past activities. As the title suggests, it is a work that showcases his growth, development, and the results of long preparation, leaving a new first impression of him as a solo artist. It has become an autobiographical work that finally reveals the passion he has aimed for as an artist." As the lyrics say, 'Tonight I'll show you my other side,' he also shows his determination to reveal a new side of himself that he hasn't fully shown yet." Grammy.com also described the album's tracks, stating, "This album deeply explores themes of recognition, growth, self-discovery, and relationships with others.
