According to a MyDaily report today (the 20th), the drama “Kyo Meshi,” which began filming in the first half of this year, has been in a state of suspended filming for about two months. According to people involved, there are several reasons why production was halted, but financial problems are said to be the main cause. Direction is handled by director Lee Min-woo, who worked on “Boys Over Flowers,” “God’s Quiz Season 4,” and “Love Passenger: Our Love Story.” It is based on the novel of the same name by writer Tetsuzo Fukuzawa, and was adapted into a TV drama by TV Tokyo in 2016. It drew much popularity under the title “Kyo Meshi ~Otoko Meshi~,” starring Katsuhisa Namase. News that it would be remade in Korea had raised expectations.
