ADOR has clarified its position that it is still waiting for the members, while winning the lawsuit for the confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contract with NewJeans. ADOR stated, "Today (30th), in the lawsuit for the confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contract between our company and the artist NewJeans, the court ruled that the exclusive contract between both parties is still valid." They explained, "The court determined that our company has not violated its obligations as a management company, and attempts to escape the exclusive contract under the guise of a breakdown of trust should not be tolerated." They continued, "We deeply appreciate the court's decision," and stated, "Since the claim for the termination of the artist's exclusive contract last November, we have been carefully responding to a series of processes, including the main lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract, a request for a provisional disposition to prevent confusion until the main judgment is issued, the court's acceptance ruling on this, the artist's immediate appeal, and the rejection decision regarding this." They revealed that, "For nearly a year, the court has repeatedly ruled in multiple related lawsuits that our company holds the position of a management company based on the exclusive contract, and the artist must engage in entertainment activities with us." They emphasized, "We sincerely hope that today's result, which is a repeated ruling of the same nature after a long period of verifying various claims and facts, will serve as an opportunity for the artists to calmly reflect on this matter." Finally, they stated, "We will also firmly remember the roles and responsibilities required of a management company under the exclusive contract. As we have made clear in the main trial process, we are ready for activities such as the release of a full album and are waiting. We will make every effort to return to our fans through discussions with the artists." Prior to this, on the morning of this day, during the hearing of the civil division 41 of the Seoul Central District Court (Chief Judge Jeong Hae-il), the declaration date of the lawsuit for the confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contract filed by ADOR against the NewJeans members was opened, and the court raised ADOR's hand. The court stated, "It is difficult to see that ADOR violated the exclusive contract just because former representative Min Hee-jin was dismissed," and judged that "former representative Min conducted a public opinion battle not to protect NewJeans, but for independence." In response, the legal representative of NewJeans members, the law firm Sejong, stated, "The members respect the court's judgment, but in the current situation where the trust relationship with ADOR has completely broken down, it is impossible to return to ADOR and continue normal entertainment activities," and clarified their position, stating, "As a result, the members plan to immediately appeal the first-instance judgment and hope that the appellate court will comprehensively review the facts and legal principles regarding the termination of the exclusive contract and make a wise judgment."
