Although they debuted once in South Korea, 12 K-POP boy groups that could not bask in the spotlight are seriously competing in the reality survival program 'Re:Born' for a formal Japanese debut. In episode #9, aired on November 22, the preparation process and reality of 5 groups for the new song competition of the final mission were revealed. The members of DXMON listened to the final mission task song that had just arrived. After the song ended, they cheered, saying, 'It has impact!' REX ignited his fighting spirit, saying, 'We need to call an ambulance before the stage. I think about three people will faint by the end of the stage. We need to do that to become number one.' Minjae raised a concern, saying, 'We always end up in 3rd place. We need to seriously think about what we should improve.' They began a strategy meeting to escape 3rd place, writing down the strengths of other groups on a whiteboard to pinpoint what DXMON lacks. The oldest member, Japanese member Seita, summarized, 'If we add expertise to our dance, I think we will look cooler.' The leader, Minjae, shared, 'I have prepared something to improve individual skills. I feel excited and nervous,' revealing a 'secret strategy' for DXMON to become number one. The members moved to a different building from their agency, and upon opening the door, they were greeted by world-renowned dancers from the crump dance scene, PRIMEKINGZ: TRIX, COUNTER, and KNUCKS. They showcased their dance in front of PRIMEKINGZ, and TRIX praised them, saying, 'You all are well-coordinated, use your strength well, and have all the techniques down.' DXMON expressed their gratitude with happy faces. KNUCKS emphasized the need to dominate their rivals, saying, 'We should learn manliness and wildness from us so that they won't come back again.' The crump dance lesson began immediately. After grasping the tips, PRIMEKINGZ suggested a dance battle, and the members of DXMON enjoyed the battle while dancing. Teguk expressed, 'I think it was a trigger that made me realize how fun dancing is again, as I had been losing that joy due to practicing the same pattern.' They ended the lesson with a group chant, 'Not 3rd place, but 1st place! Let's fight, DXMON and PRIMEKINGZ!' Meanwhile, EASTSHINE was preparing for the final mission in their agency's practice room. They wrote down all the feedback they had received and engraved every word in their hearts. To turn all feedback into praise, they decided to change into tracksuits and train by climbing a mountain to boost their morale. They chanted, 'I can do it! We can do it! We are EASTSHINE!' After a while, the members, disappointed by their last-place results, shared their feelings. The leader, IEL, positively encouraged them, saying, 'Through 'Re:Born', I think we need to face the points we lacked realistically and grow more. I believe we can be reborn after the show ends.' Someone suggested, 'Let's run!' and EASTSHINE tightened their mental strength for the final. E'LAST was strategizing in their agency for the final mission. Bekkyol suggested, 'I think we should return to our roots,' and Won-hyuk proposed, 'I want to try street performances.' Although E'LAST had previously performed street live across South Korea, they had never done so in Seoul, so they decided to practice for the final in Hongdae, a sacred place for street performances. They set up the live equipment themselves, and as the live started, passersby and tourists began to gather. They charmed the audience with their lively talk and performed 'Thrill', showcasing their stunning group dance, leading to a great success. DKB visited a cafeteria to replenish their energy for the final mission. When D1 asked, 'Is it on E-CHAN's tab?', E-CHAN showed his manliness, saying, 'Okay, I'll treat you, so eat well.' As the members enjoyed the delicious samgyeopsal, D1 unexpectedly remarked, 'There was a time when we weren't close at all, right?' Rapper GK reflected, 'I was really bad at dancing, but our team focused on dance, and I was conscious of the other members. E-CHAN scolded me a lot. He told me not to be a nuisance.' He explained how he couldn't argue back and said sorry, but E-CHAN had told him not to say sorry, which made everyone burst into laughter. E-CHAN, forgetting his past words, was flustered and apologized to GK. The conversation gradually shifted to YUKU, the Japanese member. At 18, he left his parents and moved to Korea, studying Korean while working. Initially, he had no friends in Korea and found it tough, unable to express his feelings to the members due to the language barrier. When YUKU finally opened up about his struggles after debuting, it was the saddest moment for DKB's members. YUKU shared, 'Honestly, it was a bit tough at first. I often wondered why I was in DKB since I hardly had any parts. HARRY JUNE and I had almost no trainee period, so the two years after debut felt like my trainee period.' He expressed that DKB had become another family for him, saying, 'For me, DKB is armor. Thanks to the solid friends who wrap around me, I feel very reliable.' Although the members of DKB, who usually showed bright and cheerful faces, continued the conversation with serious expressions, D1 encouraged, 'No more feeling down! Let's get back to normal!' They took a commemorative photo together, solidifying their determination for victory. AIMERS visited the office of the composer for the final mission's song. Upon hearing the song, the members showed expressions of admiration. The leader, Seunghyun, commented, 'It felt like a drama,' to which the composer replied, 'That's right! I wrote it with that feeling.' The composer suggested, 'Since they have gone through various things since their trainee days, it might be good to incorporate their stories into the lyrics for a more heartfelt final.' Wuyoung immediately agreed, and they decided to challenge writing lyrics in addition to the creative dance from the second mission. To gain inspiration for the lyrics, they decided to visit a memorable place. The place they revisited was their old dormitory from the agency. AIMERS reminisced about the tough times they shared in the small room. Suddenly, Wuyoung, inspired by the memories, suggested, 'Although everyone had a hard time, I think it would be good to write lyrics about the moments when we pushed through our limits toward our dreams for debut.' After their small trip for lyric writing, when AIMERS returned and shared the lyrics they had written, Wuyoung's mother made a surprise appearance, saying she came as the representative of AIMERS' mothers. It was an emotional reunion with tears. Video messages filled with love from other members' families also came in, causing the members to tear up. The support from their families became a great strength as AIMERS approached the final battle. In episode #9, each team progressed with their preparations for the new song in their own way, but in the next episode #10, airing on November 29 at 10 PM, the final stage of 'Re:Born' will unfold. Don't miss the moment when the winning team and the formal Japanese debut will be decided.
