From today, December 5 (Friday), at Shinjuku Balt 9 in Tokyo, and from December 26 (Friday) at T-Joy Umeda in Osaka, the costume exhibition for the movie "Shadows Edge" has been decided. Rare costumes worn by Jackie Chan and SEVENTEEN's Jun during filming will be displayed. Jackie Chan's latest work "Shadows Edge," which recorded the number one box office revenue ranking in China for four consecutive weeks and surpassed 12 billion yuan (about 25 billion yen) in about a month since its release, will be released nationwide on December 12 (Friday), including Shinjuku Balt 9. The setting is Macau. Behind the glamorous city, an unidentified cybercrime group is secretly active. The police are helpless, and the last trump card called back is the expert tracker Huang Dezhong (Jackie Chan). Although he has already retired, he teams up with young elite detectives and uses the latest technology and old-fashioned investigative techniques to chase the 'shadow' of the crime group. The star is Jackie Chan, a legend in the action movie world who also works in Hollywood. As a former Macau police tracking expert, he challenges the cybercrime group with a team of young detectives. The leader of the crime group, a former assassin, is played by Leon Lai from "The Lover." This marks their first reunion in about 20 years since "THE MYTH." Among the core members of the crime group is Jun from the globally popular K-POP group SEVENTEEN, who takes on his first villain role and showcases stunning action. Other young Chinese stars appearing include Chang Tzu-feng from "Sister: Summer's Farewell" and Tu Sha from "The Shadow of the River: The Imperial Guard and the Conspiracy of the Dynasty." The director is Larry Yang, who has teamed up with Jackie again following "Ride On." He boldly reconstructs the directorial debut work of Yau Nai-hoi, who has written many scripts for the masterpieces of Hong Kong director Johnny To, "Angel's Eye, Beast's City" (07), inheriting the core setting of the original while breathing new life into the story for a new era. One of the highlights of this work is the intense battle scenes between the police led by Jackie Chan's character, the tracking expert Huang Dezhong, and the elusive crime group. This time, action scenes featuring Jackie Chan, Jun, Tu Sha, and Cheney Lin, who plays a member of the crime group called 'Wolf's Child,' have been released. Huang Dezhong (Jackie Chan), who is tracking the crime group, infiltrates a hotel laundry room. Suddenly, his twin brother, Xi Meng (Tu Sha), attacks him with a knife. He barely dodges the knife and fights back brilliantly. Then, Hu Feng (Jun) attacks in boxing style, while Xiao Xin (Cheney Lin) delivers a blow with acrobatic taekwondo moves, sending Huang Dezhong flying. After reporting to his subordinate Pig (Chang Tzu-feng) that 'Target X has escaped,' Huang Dezhong confronts the two, saying, 'There are a puppy and a pretty boy. I'll try to persuade them to surrender,' but he is quickly cornered by a flurry of punches and kicks, changing his expression to say, 'Correction, they are a mad dog and a monster cat.' This scene depicts the fierce battle between the seasoned detective and the invigorated crime group. The differences in each fight style are also impressive, especially the synchronized movements of Jun and Cheney Lin as they corner Jackie, who, while on the defensive, skillfully dodges attacks, making it hard to take one's eyes off his every move. This battle scene with the legendary Jackie Chan was an unforgettable experience for the young actors playing the crime group. Tu Sha revealed, 'The most enjoyable scene was the action scene with Jackie Chan. It was truly exhilarating, and I learned a lot. Even at 70, his sharpness and speed are astonishing.' Cheney Lin reflected, 'For young action actors today, Jackie Chan is the ultimate idol. It was a great honor and special meaning to perform a scene facing him directly.' Jun shared, 'Since I was a child, I watched Jackie Chan's movies and strongly wished to appear in action films like him, which led me to start learning traditional martial arts.' He added, 'The scene in the laundry room with Jackie was an unforgettable experience. I learned various things, such as rhythm and tempo of movements.' This battle scene reportedly took about four days to shoot, but he revealed, 'The moment Jackie said to me and Cheney, 'You guys are really amazing,' all the fatigue and pain from those four days in the laundry room felt worth it.'
