Actress Kim Min-ha expressed her gratitude to Junho from 2PM, with whom she co-starred in the tvN weekend drama 'Teppun Trading Company.' The recently aired drama in Korea depicted the struggles and growth of a rookie businessman, Kang Teppun, who became the president of a trading company with no employees, money, or goods during the 1997 Asian financial crisis. Even in an era that felt like the end of the world, it provided warm comfort and courage to modern viewers through the passionate survival stories of those who did not stop moving forward. In the drama, Kim Min-ha played the role of Oh Mi-sung, who grows from being the ace of the accounting department to a salesperson, captivating viewers with her realistic performance. The bittersweet romance with Kang Teppun (Junho) also brought vitality to the drama. When asked about her chemistry with Junho, Kim Min-ha said, 'I really relied on him a lot. Junho has been active in this industry for 20 years, so he gave me a lot of advice, and I always depended on him. He is very considerate of those around him, but he doesn't show it openly, more like a 'tsundere'? But even more kindly than a tsundere. That's why I could act with peace of mind, and he told me to 'do it the way you want,' which made it look more natural.' Regarding the romance scenes, she said, 'It was really good. We filmed the kiss scene after we became very close, about eight months later. At first, I thought it might be a bit embarrassing, but that was just for a moment. I was really relaxed while filming. We trusted each other deeply as colleagues, so there was no feeling of forcing it. We filmed with feelings of love for each other.' She continued, 'I really liked the beach scene at the resort. I also loved the scene where we ran around in Busan together. We were running while saying, 'Let's run.' While filming, we talked about when we last laughed so hard, and I really laughed until my stomach hurt. The scene where we pulled up seaweed was also funny and challenging. The scene where Teppun hands over a cellphone and Pocky was good too. I also loved the scenes where we ate together at home and joked around.' She reflected that her time with the 'Teppun Trading Company' family became a precious memory. She said, 'I had a lot of fun filming with the members of Teppun Trading Company. I became very close with Lee Sang-jin, and everyone was very warm-hearted. We always filmed in a cheerful atmosphere, so there was no stress. Kim Jae-hwa was like the 'comedian' on set, and they were all really warm and funny people.' Given the backdrop of the Asian financial crisis, the artistic recreation also became a topic of discussion. Kim Min-ha said, 'I found it interesting every time I saw the props. For example, tokens (subway or bus fare coins). I actually used them, but I was too young at the time to remember much. I thought the cellphone, cassette tape, and car that Teppun gave were cute, and I thought they could still be used today. I enjoyed looking at the props during breaks in filming.' When asked about her excellent English skills, she said, 'I make sure to study English for at least 10 minutes a day. If you don't use a language, it deteriorates quickly. Even Korean will decline if you don't use it. Even if I don't try to memorize, I pretend to look at my vocabulary book. If I come across unknown words while watching movies, dramas, or reel videos, I always take notes. I always carry a small vocabulary book.' Kim Min-ha is also recognized as an actress who shines in historical dramas. She received high praise from many viewers for her role in Apple TV+'s 'Pachinko.' She said, 'While 'Pachinko' is about the Japanese colonial period, 'Teppun Trading Company' is set during the completely different Asian financial crisis, so I didn't feel pressured. They are entirely different stories. The charm of 'living' in a time I have never experienced is great. My imagination expands, and the enjoyment is significant.' When asked about the era she would like to act in, she smiled and said, 'The Middle Ages. Something like 1000 years ago, or the Goryeo period would be nice too.' This year has been active for her, from the release of TVING's 'One Week Before I Die' in April to 'Teppun Trading Company.' She said, 'While filming 'Teppun Trading Company,' I realized that 'I really can't do anything alone.' I am spending the end of the year very satisfied. 'One Week Before I Die' is also a work I am satisfied with, and this year was truly filled with 'love.' Regarding her plans for next year, she said, 'I have already finished filming Netflix's 'Raku Bite,' and there are plans for next year as well. I want to choose my next work carefully. Working without rest is a bit like a 'disease.' I really love the set. But I am resting properly. I love my work so much that I can't quit.' She added, 'I have thought a lot about why I love this job so much. Sometimes I wonder if this profession doesn't suit my personality, but when I act in front of the camera, converse with fellow actors, and exchange lines as a character, there is a joy that wells up from somewhere. Living someone else's life more deeply than my own is also very appealing. I don't have to be myself. I like that aspect and the variety of experiences I can have.'
