DAY6, aespa, and ATEEZ won the grand prize at the new popular music awards ceremony '1st KOREA GRAND MUSIC AWARDS' (hereafter 'KGMA') hosted by Nikkan Sports. On the 17th, the second day of '1st KGMA' was held at Incheon Inspire Arena. On this day, aespa received the trophies for '2024 Grand Song' and '2024 Grand Honors Choice', DAY6 received '2024 Grand Performer', and ATEEZ received '2024 Grand Honors Choice'. aespa, chosen as the recipient of '2024 Grand Song', expressed, 'It was a year filled with love. Receiving this award makes me feel like I was on the right path. I want to sincerely thank and love MY (fan name). I want aespa to grow step by step.' They also added, 'November 17 is the day aespa celebrates its 4th anniversary. We are grateful to receive such a meaningful award.' DAY6 achieved a triple crown with '2024 Grand Performer', 'Best Song', and 'Best Band', expressing their gratitude, 'Thanks to My Day (fan name), we achieved three crowns. It’s a mysterious and grateful moment. We are thankful to have come this far.' ATEEZ, who won '2024 Grand Honors Choice' and 'Best Song', expressed their happiness, 'We are incredibly happy to receive two awards. Thanks to ATINY (fan name), we received this award. We want to repay with good music and stages.' They also added, 'Although ATINY's first anniversary has passed, we are grateful for being together for such a long year. We want to create good memories from now on.' Tak Young-jun from SM Entertainment was chosen as the recipient of the 'Best Producer Award'. Additionally, WINTER's solo song 'Spark' was premiered, delivering a special moment. This awards ceremony, held over two days on the 16th and 17th, saw artists from idols to solo singers and bands achieving meaningful results in various sectors of popular music, enhancing its significance.
