Director Park Chan-wook received the Golden Bird Award at the 'Seoul Drama Awards 2024.' Song Kang-ho also won an award for his drama. However, the child within me has always dreamed of television dramas,' referring to the advantages of dramas that can express unique characters with their own stories. He added, 'The era where filmmakers only made films and broadcasters only made broadcasts has passed, and I am truly happy. As someone who has made two drama series, I believe I am qualified to be called a broadcaster. I want to proudly accept this honorable award.' Furthermore, he said, 'If we consider our lives as one drama, no one tells us the ending. Just as we watch this drama without knowing the end and find it interesting, I hope we can savor and enjoy each scene as we live.' He expressed gratitude to the broadcasting station, production team, actors, and staff who created the 'Sympathizer' series, stating, 'You were the best characters in the drama of my life.' Song Kang-ho also expressed joy at receiving his first award for a drama. He won the individual award for male actor in the international competition category for 'Uncle Samshik,' stating, 'After continuing in films for a long time, I carefully took on a drama, and receiving such a significant award fills me with honor. Standing before respected artists from around the world, I feel a heavy sense of responsibility.' He added, 'I believe we are in an era where drama and film content transcend borders and languages, allowing us to enjoy, interact, and feel together. I would be happy if 'Uncle Samshik' is remembered as a drama that showcased the diversity of Korean content and the potential to move forward, whether ahead or sideways.' He dedicated glory to the director and staff who worked hard to create a wonderful drama in the heat, as well as to the actors who supported him, especially the gem-like actors such as Byung Yo-han and Lee Kyuhyun. He also wanted to dedicate glory to the viewers who silently concentrated on watching and supported them from beginning to end in this speedy and glamorous era. 'Moving' won the K-drama category's work award, and director Park In-jae received the individual award for directing in the international competition category, achieving a double crown. Director Park In-jae expressed gratitude to Disney+ and NEW for deciding to produce the long work of 20 episodes of 'Moving,' stating, 'I want to take this award as a sign to move forward and create good works that comfort viewers and audiences even more.' 'Queen of Tears' also won the K-drama category's work award and the OST award for the song 'The Reasons of My Smiles' sung by the unit Buseoksoon from SEVENTEEN. The American 'Three-Body Problem' and the Czech 'The Saints' also won double crowns. Brazil's 'Justice: Their Choice' received the grand prize in the international competition category. TBS drama 'Eye Love You' also won an award, drawing attention. Byung Woo-seok and Kim Hae-yoon, who became stars through 'Run, Song-jae,' also won the Asia Star Award in the international invitation category, selected by fan votes, proving their popularity.
