NCT's Doyoung has completed basic military training. On January 14, NCT's official SNS posted a photo with the comment "I have completed it." The released photo shows Doyoung saluting while holding a bouquet with the message "Congratulations on completion, Private Kim Dong-young (Doyoung's real name). Our beloved Doyoung, let's stay healthy until the discharge date." Doyoung, dressed in military uniform, appeared even more robust than before enlistment. He enlisted in the active army on December 8, 2025, and underwent about five weeks of basic military training. Before enlistment, he donated 100 million won (about 1 million dollars) through the international NGO World Vision to support educational environment improvements, spreading a positive influence. On the day of enlistment, Doyoung shared on his SNS, "Because I am 'me' created by all moments and all people, I will spend time dreaming bigger dreams. I hope that many of you who are waiting for me will also love yourselves more, dream, share your hearts, and have fulfilling times. Lastly, I love you so much. Although it's late, I will talk a lot for the time lost. I love you!"
