The official fan club event of the 8-member global girls group UNIS, born from the audition program "UNIVERSE TICKET," was held on April 29, 2024 at KFC Hall in Tokyo. Approximately 400 fans gathered for the first official fan club event in Japan. The MC of this event was NICE73, who conducted a quiz project to guess which member fans liked based on the "favorite things about the members" collected in advance. Pan Yuna and Nana showed their dance skills, O Yuna rapped, Zelidanka, Kotoko, Jin Hyonju showed cute poses and acting, Elysia and Im Sowon sang live. Afterwards, there were autograph and photo sessions, and they enjoyed a fun time with Japanese fans. Kotoko, a Japanese member, commented on the event, saying, "It feels strange to debut as a Korean idol and meet Japanese fans like this, but I am very happy and grateful! UNIS is a global girls group born from the first girls group audition program "UNIVERSE TICKET" challenged by SBS, one of Korea's three major terrestrial broadcasters, with a total production cost of 10 billion won (about 1.1 billion yen). They officially debuted in Korea on March 27, 2024. The members include Japanese members Nana (16 years old) and Kotoko (16 years old), as well as Elysia (14 years old), Pan Yuna (14 years old), Zelidanka (16 years old), Im Sowon (13 years old), O Yuna (14 years old), and Jin Hyonji (22 years old), and they are scheduled to be active for a limited period of 2 years and 6 months from their debut date. Nana, a member, has been attracting a lot of attention even before her debut, such as being unusually selected as the first Japanese MC for the popular Korean music show "THE SHOW." Their debut mini-album "WE UNIS," released on March 27, 2024, recorded the top album in the Philippines and Qatar on iTunes immediately after its release, and ranked high on the iTunes top album charts in 9 countries and the Apple Music top album charts in 4 countries. The title track of the album, "SUPERWOMAN," has also made a mark on the top songs of iTunes in Macau and the Philippines, with all the songs on the album achieving the feat of lining up on the top songs chart of iTunes in the Philippines, attracting attention as the most noteworthy global artist at the moment.
