On November 10, ITZY will release a new mini-album titled "TUNNEL VISION" along with the title track of the same name, as they engage in comeback activities. This new song, their first release in about five months since the album "Girls Will Be Girls" released in June, incorporates the keyword "immersion" with a deeper story, diverse music genres, and an organic flow. The new album includes six tracks: the title track "TUNNEL VISION," as well as "Focus," "DYT," "Flicker," "Nocturne," and "8-BIT HEART." Following renowned American composer and producer Dem Jointz and K-POP producer KENZIE, all members are credited, enhancing the album's quality. The title track "TUNNEL VISION" conveys a message of pursuing one's own pace of light through chosen "immersion," while navigating between heightened sensations and isolation. The song features a heavy hip-hop beat and brass sounds, maximizing the acoustic experience with layered vocal sounds. Prior to the new album's release, members Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna shared their thoughts on the sensory-stimulating new album and title track "TUNNEL VISION." -- How do you feel about releasing a new album after about five months since "Girls Will Be Girls"? ITZY: First of all, we are really happy to release a new album and can't wait to meet our fans. We hope they feel that "ITZY can do this too" through our unique and wonderful appearance. Please enjoy our upgraded performance! We also hope to become a presence that makes people think, "ITZY is the one for the year-end stage!" (laughs). -- Since debut, we have showcased music that openly conveys our personal stories. This new album also incorporates a flow of self-discovery while facing our inner selves, expressing various stories and atmospheres. If you had to describe this album in one word or phrase, what would it be? Yeji: If I had to express it in one word, it would be "dream." I wanted to reflect how seriously we work on our songs, performances, and stages, and the feelings and messages we want to convey in each album production. Our goal is for many people to immerse themselves in and love our music. Ryujin: "Destination." I think ITZY's message has been centered on self-love, and this album includes content about "running towards your goals," feeling like a destination that connects to the initial message. Chaeryeong: "Immersion." To elaborate, it feels like loving oneself while focusing when a goal is set. -- The title track "TUNNEL VISION" emphasizes "immersion" as a key theme. What are the things you are currently most immersed in? And if there is a member who has shown "extreme immersion" during the preparation for this album, who would it be? Lia: All members, including myself, were immersed in preparing for the comeback. We wanted to show a wonderful appearance through hard work. Ryujin: I think I am immersed in OTT series and movies. The member who showed "extreme immersion" is Yeji! She changed her hair color for this album and worked hard to show a new look. Chaeryeong: Recently, I have been putting a lot of effort into self-improvement as a hobby. Time seems to pass too quickly, and I want to spend it more meaningfully. -- If you had to describe the title track "TUNNEL VISION" in one word, what would it be? Also, what are the charms and points to watch for in this song? Yeji: "Restraint." I think it gives a sense of tension just before an explosion. The edgy atmosphere doubles the charm. Lia: "Aura," as "TUNNEL VISION" allows you to feel charisma in its raw form. I think my narration in "Focus" is a key point to watch (laughs). Ryujin: I think the individuality of the five members is well showcased, and the energy as a team is also reflected. Chaeryeong: The new song "TUNNEL VISION" features beats and Afro genres that ITZY is trying for the first time, so we worked hard to utilize that atmosphere as much as possible. Yuna: "Sensory isolation"! The performance is captivating from start to finish, and especially Lia's "Focus" part is a killing part; her gaze is really good. -- The music video for the title track also depicts an inner story in a unique ITZY way. Members challenged acting alongside their performances; do you have any memorable episodes from the filming? Also, what do you think are the highlights of this music video? Yeji: Many people speculated that we were filming a ketchup commercial, and I remember laughing with the members about how strange that was. I hope that comes true (laughs). Yuna: The new song's music video has a charm that allows you to face it from a new perspective the more you watch it, so I hope many people enjoy it. -- As the "K-POP performance queens," ITZY collaborated with famous dance teams La Chica and Kirsten for the choreography of the comeback title track. What kind of performance are you planning to show with the new song? What do you think are the key dance points of the title track "TUNNEL VISION"? ITZY: The choreography incorporates grooves and restrained movements inspired by Afro and hip-hop dance, along with diverse choreography utilizing the tunnel. There are various killing parts, from isolation to movements lined up shooting guns, making it full of highlights. -- From this year's university festivals to "WATERBOMB SEOUL 2025," "Trendy Taipei," and a special invitation performance at the Taipei Dome for local professional baseball, ITZY has showcased their charm on various stages both domestically and internationally. What do you think is the charm of being on stage? ITZY: When we performed at the Taipei Dome, despite the large stage, there were so many MIDZYs (ITZY's fans) with us. The sight of the cheering rings of light spreading throughout the venue made us really happy, and we felt grateful. We believe our charm lies in the healthy energy and the stage created together with the audience! -- Recently, with the announcement of a Seoul performance, ITZY has hinted at their third world tour. Since it's been a while since the last tour, what are you most looking forward to, and what stage or points do you want the audience to immerse themselves in? ITZY: We are excited and looking forward to it. You will encounter a stage infused with bonds, unity, and various charms. We will work hard to show performances full of enjoyment with new looks from the five members! Please look forward to it! -- Having run hard until the 7th anniversary, this album seems to open a "new chapter" for ITZY beyond just a comeback. What kind of appearance do you want to show in the next chapter? Please share a word of encouragement to each other as members. Yeji: Thanks to Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna, I have been able to run to this moment. Because we are together, it is more fun and happy, and I am truly grateful to the members who have shared every moment with me. I want to cherish the time we spend together at our own pace and return this heart to our fans through music. I also want to continue being an artist that fans can be proud of. Lia: Because we have shared many experiences together, we are now bound by a deeper bond. I am very excited to see how strong and solid our bond can grow as we continue to accumulate experiences together! Ryujin: In a sense, this new album and comeback seem to serve as a pledge for ITZY's future activities. Members, thank you for your hard work until now. Let's keep fighting! Chaeryeong: It's a strange feeling to have already reached our 7th anniversary. I am grateful that we have come this far safely. Thank you, everyone! Let's keep working hard together! Yuna: To the members who have worked hard together, thank you. I think I have grown because you have always been by my side. Thank you, I love you! -- Since you surprised fans with the early re-contract announcement at the fan meeting, I believe you wanted to convey the news they have been waiting for. What message do you want to send to MIDZY, who will continue to walk with you? Yeji: Thanks to your constant love and support, I have been able to overcome tough times and feel even greater joy in happy events. Thank you for helping me realize important feelings. From now on, I will work hard to become a more reassuring presence. Lia: I always want to be with MIDZY. Let's continue to create precious memories together. Ryujin: We will continue to strive to deliver only wonderful appearances to you. Let's keep working hard together. Thank you for always supporting us! Chaeryeong: We will always think about how to show the appearance that MIDZY wants to see and will continue to work hard. Thank you for being by our side. Yuna: I am really happy to be able to share good news. Thank you for always believing in and supporting ITZY. Please continue to be healthy and happy!
