NCT's Taeyong showed humility in response to questions related to his junior colleagues in the agency, RIIZE's Wonbin and Songchan. Recently, Taeyong appeared as a guest on Hong Seok-cheon's YouTube channel "Hong Seok-cheon's Treasure Box." Taeyong and Hong Seok-cheon are distant relatives. On this day, when Hong Seok-cheon asked, "I think we're related, but what do you think?" Taeyong answered, "Not to the extent of blood relations..." and caused laughter. Then Hong Seok-cheon said, "Then let's say we're cousins of my father's," making everyone laugh. Taeyong, who serves as NCT's main dancer and visual center, revealed, "I don't look in the mirror much even now while practicing. Because during my trainee days, it was adolescence. I didn't want to be told that I 'debuted with my face' when I debuted, so I avoided my looks." He then confessed, "I didn't think it was a time to worry about looks back then. So even now, I feel embarrassed when my looks are praised." Recently, as the rookie idol group RIIZE under SM Entertainment debuted, Taeyong showed humility in response to the question, "Aren't you nervous when you see Wonbin and Songchan?" saying, "I was with them in the practice room yesterday.
