Yesterday (2nd), DAY6's official SNS released a teaser video with the text, "The first protagonist of the new music project 'essential; studio' is indeed DAY6's Wonpil." According to this, Wonpil will release the new song 'Wish' on January 7 at 6 PM through various music distribution sites. The 31-second teaser video previews part of the new song, featuring Wonpil's unique pure vocals and solid high notes, raising expectations for the completed song. Prior to the song's release, Wonpil appeared on KBS 2TV's 'THE SEASONS-10CM's Yoshi Yoshi' broadcast on the 2nd at 10 PM in Korea. During this broadcast, he showcased stages of songs from his first solo album 'Pilmography,' released in February 2022, including 'Wishing You Luck' and 'Unpainted Canvas.' Last year, to commemorate their 10th anniversary, DAY6 released a digital single 'Maybe Tomorrow' in May, followed by their 4th full album 'The DECADE' in September and a Christmas special single 'Lovin' the Christmas' in December.
