YG released 'TREASURE & BABYMONSTER | YG ANNOUNCEMENT' today (18th). This is an interview video featuring Producer Yang Hyun-suk, discussing the albums of YG artists who will be active in the second half of 2025. TREASURE, celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, will release their 3rd mini-album 'LOVE PULSE' on September 1. Producer Yang stated, 'The TREASURE members, who were in their mid-teens to early twenties at debut, have now all become adults in their early to mid-twenties. If these five years were their first act, this album will mark the beginning of the second act,' expressing his determination to anticipate TREASURE's growth in the global music market. The new mini-album includes four tracks: 'EVERYTHING', 'PARADISE', 'NOW FOREVER', and 'BETTER THAN ME', with the title track being the retro disco punk genre 'PARADISE'. He mentioned, 'Since this album is being released ahead of a global tour, we structured it with songs that can communicate with fans,' and added that the music videos for the title tracks 'PARADISE' and 'EVERYTHING' are planned to be showcased. BABYMONSTER will make a comeback with a new mini-album on October 10, featuring four new tracks without including the recently released 'HOT SAUCE'. The title track is 'WE GO UP', a strong hip-hop based song that embodies BABYMONSTER's determination to soar higher. Producer Yang revealed, 'We will release a conceptual music video along with high-quality choreography visuals.' Following 'WE GO UP', the second track 'PSYCHO' was a strong contender for the title track. 'SUPA DUPA LUV' is a special slow-tempo song with appealing hip-hop elements, while the fourth track 'WILD' is a dance song based on the country genre, which many people are likely to enjoy. Producer Yang stated, 'The recording of BABYMONSTER's new songs, set to be released next year, is about 80-90% complete,' and expressed his commitment to meet fans frequently. He mentioned in a previous interview that he has established a music system consisting of about 50 internal music producers, facilitating interactions with overseas producers through regular song camps. This confirms that YG's changed music system is progressing smoothly. Discussions about BLACKPINK's new album were also officially announced for the first time through his statements. Producer Yang emphasized, 'The members and the responsible producers are working hard to prepare,' and 'We are striving for the album to be released in November.' At the end of the video, a practice video for TREASURE's 3rd mini-album track 'EVERYTHING' was unexpectedly released, surprising fans. It is unusual for YG to preview new songs and choreography two weeks before an album release. The actual choreography video captures TREASURE sweating before their comeback, heightening expectations. YG stated, 'This video was filmed not for public release but as internal documentation, with members in their casual clothes and no makeup, shot with a smartphone. Since it's a surprise for fans, we hope they enjoy it.'
