The association announced on its official website yesterday (29th) the names of 30 individuals who have been promoted to full membership for the 2026 fiscal year. The association, which manages the copyright property rights of Korean music creators, selects members based on their membership duration and performance in copyright royalties. This year’s list includes prominent music creators like Young K, who has written and composed representative songs for DAY6, and others like i-dle’s Ugi and singer-songwriter Stella Chang. Young K's promotion marks the first full membership for DAY6, officially recognizing his creative achievements alongside his artist activities. Ugi has also shown strong creativity within her group, becoming the second full member after So-yeon. Stella Chang, known for her unique music and French sensibility, has participated in various artists' works. Other notable members include Pe Chul-soo, who has significantly influenced Korean rock music. The promotion of new generation creators is seen as a meaningful shift in the K-POP industry. Veteran writers who have been active for over ten years were also promoted. The list includes past members who have been re-promoted under the association's regulations.
