With about a week to go until the 2026 university entrance exam (the common test for university admission in Japan), attention is focused on the career paths of K-pop idols born in 2007. According to an interview by Newsen yesterday (6th), Kim Sumin, Kim Chaewon, Jeong Hayoung, and Jeong Herin from tripleS have decided not to take the exam and to concentrate on their main careers. Wonhee from ILLIT, Yuha and Stella from Hearts2Hearts, and Lee Jaeyoung and Fanbo Mingyul from idntt are also planning not to take the exam. Additionally, Shin Yechan from TIOT and Moon Jaeyil from YUHZ have decided not to take the exam, and IVE's Iso announced after discussions that they will focus on their activities. On the other hand, Han Yujin from ZEROBASEONE will take the exam. Their agency, WAKEONE, stated, 'We plan to balance academics and entertainment activities.' Meanwhile, Yu Sarang from izna, also under WAKEONE, will take the exam, but Choi Jeongun will not. The 2026 university entrance exam will be held on November 13.
