ILLIT has returned once again in a cute appearance. They declared, "Not just cute anymore," and their undeniable charm is overflowing. On April 3 at 8 PM and 9 PM, ILLIT released concept photos and films for the "PAW PAW" version of their 4th mini-album "MAMIHLAPINATAPAI" through the group's official SNS. This version visually expresses the atmosphere of one of the new album's songs, "paw, paw!" The song, themed around the bittersweet relationship with pets, depicts the five members spending a day with animals they are often compared to. Yuna with an Afghan Hound, Minju with a duck, Mocha with a cat, Wonhee with a guinea pig, and Iroha with a lizard are paired together, attracting attention. The photos capturing moments of sharing warmth and gazes evoke a soft, warm sensibility, as if peeking into someone's cherished diary. The concept film showcases the members' relaxed and natural interactions with the animals. The high synchronicity seen not only in their appearances but also in their subtle actions is intriguing. While each member's individuality stands out, ILLIT's unique cute and bright energy is overflowing. ILLIT will release their 4th mini-album "MAMIHLAPINATAPAI" on the 30th. This album is filled with diverse emotions that arise as relationships deepen, encapsulating ILLIT's story of focusing on their honest inner selves and even enjoying complex feelings. It includes five tracks: the title song "It's Me," "GRWM (Get Ready With Me)," "paw, paw!", "Mamihlapinatapai," and "Love, older you." ILLIT will also hold a festival in Korea on May 5 to celebrate the album's release, and they revealed the tracklist for the album, with Iroha participating in songwriting for the first time.
ILLIT will release its 5th mini album BREAK EVEN on October 26. The album title, from the economic term break-even point, reflects a firm declaration to stop investing feelings and time in an unrewarding relationship. After major hits in Korea and Japan, the group is set for an encore tour.
ILLIT’s Minju won fans over with a cover of Lee Hyori’s classic “10 Minutes,” released on the group’s official YouTube channel. She reinterpreted the song in an R&B style, adding delicate vocals, expressive groove, and Y2K-inspired visuals. BELIFT LAB said she also took part in vocal direction and chorus recording. Minju said she wanted to sing a song she loves in her own voice. ILLIT will hold an encore concert in Incheon next month after sold-out tour stops in Seoul, five Japanese cities, and Hong Kong.
