The second round of performers for "Best Artist 2025" has been announced. Additionally, a shuffle medley of songs by eight luxurious artists has been decided. The song "Blue Amber," released this April, has surpassed 100 million streams on the Billboard JAPAN chart. Back number, who has been a top runner in the Japanese music scene for 15 years, will perform at Best Artist for the first time in eight years, having 28 of their songs surpass 100 million streams. In 2026, they will hold their first five major stadium tour. Timelesz, which has formed a new eight-member system and continues to make strides, will also perform. This year has been a remarkable year for them, with 211 television appearances in the first half, the birth of numerous regular programs, and their album released in June reaching number one on the Billboard JAPAN Hot Albums chart. Snow Man, celebrating their fifth anniversary this year, has released a best album that sold 1.1 million copies on the first day, a record in Oricon history. They have also become the best-selling artist in the first half of the year. From May to July this year, they held their first three major dome tours as a duo, attracting 680,000 attendees alongside an arena tour of the same title. Their single released in March debuted at number one on the Billboard JAPAN HOT 100. King & Prince, who served as a charity partner for 24-hour TV 48, will also perform. They made their major debut on April 2 and were selected by Forbes JAPAN as one of the "30 Under 30" changing the world within six months. HANA, who released a song in July that recorded the highest weekly streams for a female artist this year, is also expected to perform. The STARTO artists performing at Best Artist will deliver classic songs they have sung since before their debut.
