Lia of ITZY announced her non-participation in the new album and world tour. Today (17th), she posted a long letter on ITZY's official SNS, saying, "Hello MIDZY (ITZY's fans), it's Lia." Lia clearly stated, "I cannot participate in this album production and world tour due to various worries and thoughts, and I want to have more time to focus on recovering my health." She also conveyed, "For the fans who feel disappointed, I will release my solo track 'Blossom' with a lyric video. It is a song filled with my sincere feelings that I want to convey to the fans." Furthermore, she added, "Are MIDZY doing well? I am doing my best in my own way. During the time we cannot be together, I promise to become healthier and return in a better state, responding to the support MIDZY has given me! Thank you for always believing and waiting." Prior to this, in September, ITZY's agency JYP Entertainment revealed, "Lia is experiencing extreme tension and anxiety regarding the schedule progress, and she has decided to seek consultation and undergo examination. She received a diagnosis from the medical team that rest and treatment are necessary." Since then, she has not participated in ITZY's schedule and has been focusing on rest and treatment. At that time, Lia promised the fans that she would return in a healthy state. Now, after more than two months, she has revealed that she will not participate in ITZY's new album and world tour in order to concentrate more on recovering her health.
