The live-action film adaptation of Coffee’s manga Wandance, which has been strongly supported by dancers and also caused a stir when the TV anime aired last year, and which has surpassed a cumulative 1.3 million copies in circulation and is currently serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon, will be released nationwide on Friday, November 27, 2026 (directed by Naoya Kusaba). JO (&TEAM), making his first starring role in a film, will play the protagonist Kabo; Anji Ikehata will play Hikari Wanda, also known as Wanda, who changes the protagonist’s fate; Kira Yamaguchi (Girls2) will play the charismatic dancer On Miyao, who leads the dance team TEAM ON that Kabo joins; RAN (MAZZEL) will play senior Iori Itsukushima, who sees Kabo’s talent and encourages him to take on dance battles; TSUKKI will play Gaku Kabeya, also known as Kabe, Kabo’s and the others’ strongest rival in dance battles; and Aloha Takamatsu (Choutokkyuu) will play Takumi Usen, also known as Usen, the leader of a skilled team that stands in Kabo’s way at the dance contest. In previous announcements, related words trended multiple times on X at the time of the reveal, and the excitement has spread on social media not only among fans of the cast and the original work, but also attention has been drawn to the high level of the released dance footage. From this work, the main poster visual has now been revealed. The poster visual, in which Kabo (JO) strikingly performs a powerful dance move and catches the eye, together with the copy, “But I will dance. This heartbeat (beat) will change me,” is an energetic and youthful poster visual that is impressive for the dignified side profile of Wanda (Anji Ikehata), as well as the expressions of On (Kira Yamaguchi), Iori (RAN), Kabe (TSUKKI), and Usen (Aloha Takamatsu) around Kabo and Wanda, conveying their feelings toward putting everything into dance. Furthermore, movie ticket cards will go on sale from Friday, September 18! The designs are two types: “Kabo ver.,” featuring Kabo’s refreshing side profile, and “All Characters ver.,” which cuts out one scene of each character. As a special bonus for the movie ticket card, a character visual card (accordion style) using each character’s visual will be included as an original bonus. ■Work overview Movie Wandance nationwide release on Friday, November 27 <Cast> JO (&TEAM), Anji Ikehata, Kira Yamaguchi (Girls2), RAN (MAZZEL), TSUKKI, Aloha Takamatsu (Choutokkyuu), Kanji Furutachi Original work: Coffee, Wandance (serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon) Director: Naoya Kusaba Screenplay: Keiichi Kobayashi Theme song: &TEAM “For us” Dance supervision: Charisma Kantarou Music: origami PRODUCTIONS, GuruConnect Production: Movie Wandance Production Committee Planning, production, and distribution: Happinet Phantom Studios (C) Coffee / Kodansha (C) 2026 Movie Wandance Production Committee ★Movie ticket card details On sale Friday, September 18 at Major MOVIE WALKER STORE, card ticket, online ticket [Movie ticket card bonus] Character visual card (accordion style) [Size] 80 x 60 mm (one side) One bonus is included per movie ticket card.
