IVE will release the new mini album “Looks Can Kill” on Monday, October 26. Ahead of the release, the title track “Looks Can Kill” began streaming at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 19, and the music video was also released on YouTube. “Looks Can Kill” contains a total of six songs, and the track “Looks Can Kill,” which has the same name as the EP, is the title song. The title track “Looks Can Kill,” which begins with a rhythm of an attention-grabbing synth pad, is finished as electronic dance pop, harmonizing a dynamic drum that powerfully drives the song and rich electronic sounds over a heavy, rough bass. In particular, after a bridge part that completely changes the atmosphere, the explosively exciting final chorus brings listeners a refreshing catharsis. The music video for the title track “Looks Can Kill” incorporates the grammar of a hero movie and focuses on the image of IVE as superstars who play heroes and who also exert influence in the real world. Through direction that moves back and forth between inside and outside the filming set, they freely and boldly use their own image, expanding the meaning from “IVE playing heroes” to “IVE whose very existence is a hero.” In addition, this album also focuses on the moment when admiration for IVE connects to someone’s dream or courage. It depicts, as a hero story unique to IVE, the process in which one person’s existence moves someone’s heart and that influence further spreads into new changes.
